I am dying to see both Beastly and Red Riding Hood. I love the original fairy tales and these look like they will be very interesting interpretations of them. I hope I won't be disappointed.

It bothers me that nobody has actually seen the movie & I've heard NOTHING about it on the street!!! However, I think I will just go ahead & rent it from Redbox when it finally comes out!!! The Trailer for Little Red Riding Hood doesn't really entice me, but I will probably watch it too just to see what they've done with that fairy tale!!!

I have seen both ... I actually own Red Riding Hood - someone saw it and thought that I would like it, so they bought it for me even before I had watched it. Turns out they were right, I did like the movie. Then again, it had Gary Oldman in it, so there was a pretty good chance that I was going to like it regardless of the storyline, although I thought the storyline was good as well.

Actually, you're the only person I've heard say they've watched RRH. Since you enjoyed it so much, I went to Redbox to see if they still have it in their kiosk. I've only ever found one movie not worth a dollar to watch. Sadly, they don't have it; but while there, I perused the reviews. It appears to be one of those movies that you either love or hate. There were very few middle of the road reviews. The very first review stated very frankly that it was the worst movie they had ever watched & it wasn't even worth the $1 that Redbox charges. (1-star) The very next review screamed it was the absolute best movie ever seen!!! (5-stars) And so it continued to be a love or hate relationship. A few people said it was some of the worst acting they had ever seen & even Gary Oldman couldn't save it. (1-star) Once I realized the pattern forming I stopped reading the reviews & did notice that it had a 3.5 average which leads me to believe that more people disliked it than loved it. I have Hulu, Netflix & Amazon Instant WiFied into my TV & didn't find it available there either. Amazon will sell t to me for $9, but I'm not sure I'm willing to buy it sight unseen. I am very picky about the movies I purchase as they have to be one that I will enjoy watching over & over & over again!!! RRH hasn't been on my Video on Demand either which leads me to wonder why??? I'm glad you enjoyed it & given the opportunity to watch it I will but I'm not prepared to buy it until I've seen it!!!

I did see the film Beastly and I liked it, it's a good film to watch, watch it if you haven't seen it yet. This is a good film based on beauty and the beast ...

Yes, I had the opportunity to watch it not long after I posted this discussion. It was by far not the best movie I've ever watched, but I did enjoy it. i'm hoping to find the time to watch it again in the not so far future!!!

I don't know what that movie is. But if it lurks around fantasy genre, I sure would love to see it.

I believe it's a modern day version of Beauty & the Beast. Young man ticks off a witch & she puts a curse on him. He has a year to find a woman to fall in love with him or the curse will be for life. I'm a sucker for a love story, so I was more wondering if the acting was worth watching???

I wonder whether or not you have watched this movie yet, although a year later I would hope that you would have seen it by now. What did you think of it? I was also very interested in the trailers and wanted to watch the movie. I liked it, but it was not as good as I had expected from the trailers that I had seen. Still, for what it was I would recommend it, especially to someone that had tween-age children, because it seems that there are less and less movies that are appropriate for that age group, and this is one that I think they would like. By the way, just my personal opinion, but I thought the guy looked better as the "Beast" than he did as himself, especially originally.

I'm hoping to find the time to watch it again in the not so far future. I agree that it wasn't as intriguing as the trailer, but I did enjoy it!!! I have no children so I can watch anything I please when I please. I was paying attention to the storyline & not the looks of the characters; however, I did find him attractive as the Beast...I believe that beauty comes from within the soul of a person & the Beast had the soul of a gorgeous man!!!

WOW,what a promising movie.I would love to see this movie but I don't think it's released in my country yet since Australia is a little behind the times. Really love the Beauty and the Beast concept of how true beauty comes from within and that Beauty can still love the Beast despite his fearsome appearance.

I love the concept too!!! It concerns me that nobody here has seemed to have seen the movie!!! No matter how great the concept, if it wasn't directed/acted properly, then it could still stink!!!!

I loved the movie, just saw it a few days ago.. It was sweet and something new.. I love the look of the beast too- and the fairy was fun- i'd love to see what she'll to hunter's father.

Looks just like a remake of the Disney classic "Beauty and the Beast", altered to target an older audience. I won't be watching it as it doesn't appear to be my 'kind' of movie.

I haven't seen it but I think it will be good. I have seen remakes of cinderella in modern world and I liked them so I think this movie will be good.

I don't think the movie has anything to do with Cinderella. I believe it is based on Beauty & the Beast!!! So, I think I'm just going to rent it & see if it's any good!!! If I get it from Redbox, I will only be out of a dollar if I don't like it!!!!
