I upgraded this morning and quickly went back. A great many of the toolbars and add ons are not compatible so it defeated the purpose. Although I must admit once they fix that it is going to be super great. It was very fast.

If you have many problem it could be because the old profile is full with things that don't work for this version.
I think it would be best to start a new profile.
When I tried FF4 with my old firefox 3 profile it made the computer restart for some bug... now I've created a new profile and it works fine.
The problem is that you need to backup bookmarks, passwords and so on and it's a long process.
You could also try to disable the hardware acceleration in firefox options/advanced/general tab.

I upgrade mine early this morning and after like 2 minutes I removed it and returned back to the 3 because none of my toolbars and add ons work with it. It seemed pretty fast but not being able to use my add ons would not work for me at all.
If you decide to downgrade make sure you do not remove your saved profile. Doing so you will loose any add ons, toolbars and bookmarks.
So until they create compatibility I will not re-upgrade, although it seemed like it would be great.
