MyLot Complaints

I am having some trouble on MyLot.
Maybe the users who have been here awhile can help me.
I had posted a discussion on the Japan Earthquake and added in the title, that there was a tsunmai warning for the West Coast of America.
Someone, who evidently has a problem with my being a Bible believer, added a tag of Bible nutter to the discussion. Nevermind that not once was the Bible mentioned in the discussion. If I remember correctly, prayer for the Japanese was mentioned. I feel the tag was added as an insult to me.
I've also had discussions deleted and I feel for slim reasons.
The first was a discussion of the Islamic prophecies concerning the 12th Iman and its similarity to the antichrist and how that effects their governments. I posted under the politics interest because it was about Iran's government. It was deleted. I asked for an explanation from MyLot and have not received one yet.
Now I have a discussion deleted that was about a mob burning a Christians church with the pastor and family inside in Egypt. This I posted in the religion interest. A responder posted a link to pictures of Iraqi prisioners who were posed naked. The NY times published these pictures! MyLot apparently will not. No slurs or insults were exchanged on this discussion, the poster and I were having a rational discussion on religious persecution around the world. I have contacted MyLot on both these complaints and not heard from them yet.
So, what is your advice?

As for insulting tags, those should always be reported. MyLot will remove the tag. Could be they're backlogged. I have had a deleted discussion restored, so they do listen to protests. But that's assuming they agree with you...

I can't get an answer to know if they agree or disagree. I reported the offensive tag, per Lamb's instructions, haven't checked yet to see if it's gone.

Hmm. I`m there with you. Mylot seems to be taken certain things the wrong way. You have every right to complain and message them. All you can really do is wait though. Have you read the faqs and guidelines on the bottom of the page?(Too be honest, I havent.) Maybe theres something in there you missed and that is why they are deleting your discussions? As I see it though, those are perfectly normal interesting discussions. I wouldnt know why they would want to delete it. But what can we do? We are just normal mylot users.

look you are new but thats no excuse for bragging you did not read the wuesions and answers. for your explanation they and all the other info is there so we will not make discussions that break the rules. what rule you ask? the rules you and this discussion maker should h ve read when you joined mylot. My lot admins is not taking anything the wrong way. it is you and the maker of this discussion that are taking the deletions the wrong way. it is up to you to have read all the mylot information look this site belongs to my lot and if you refuse to learn the rules you will get things deleted. they expected you and all of us to have read their information. I see for one thing she posted yet another discussion on the Japanese earth quake when at least a dozen other people had made the same darned discussions. one of the rules sayd do not make duplicate discussions on one topic.so what can you do? use your head and read the damned information mylot has posted for you, simple if you just go ahead and do it. from an older wiser mylotter.

I have read the rules, but there has been a year or more since I did. I reread them again and will in the future. There's a lot of them and frankly, I've been away for a year and didn't remember all of them.
As for the earthquake discussion, I added that there was a tsunami warning to mine. And again, FRANKLY...who thinks of the guidelines when there is a HUGE natural disaster in the making.
I am not ranting about how wrong MYLOT is. I am asking questions and looking for advice. I know it is their site and that I am enjoying a privilege being here. But I can't seem to get them to even respond when I message them about offensive tags let alone a deleted discussion.

To Hatley: Okay, older wiser mylotter. For an experienced mylotter, I`d expect better grammer. :/

My advice is to send a FR to admin:
http://www.mylot.com/GoAskAlice
He will add you and you can explain your problem. He will then remove you from his friend list when it is resolved.
This might be removed too because it could be considered as an 'individual issue with myLot'.
BTW we can report irrelevant tags. Just use the (!) at the bottom of the topic and ask for them to be removed. Admin will do so if he feels that they are incorrect.

I just have this kind of owners or some popular sites whose admin never help. Eg. Mypage5 i have too much small bugs there because i use it on mobile. Its most popular site and genuine paying. I contacted their mail of complaint@MP5 and hels@MP5 but they never replied.

I have absolutely no idea why you did not receive assistance
unless your problem was already answered in the FAQs.

I'm spending less time here lately since another friend got a bunch of his discussions deleted for no reason that I could see and he never got an explanation, either. I got a couple deleted. Yet I still see poll-type "discussions" that are clearly against the rules, like what's your favorite so and so.
I'm thinking of limiting my time here from now on and whittling down my friends list to a couple dozen people I really care about. I can't see spending a couple hours a day on a site that deletes things in such an inconsistent manner. It's beginning to look malicious, especially when you think of that last discussion of yours that was deleted.

I understand, but please do not do something drastic! I enjoy this site and will not allow others who try to make it a hassle push me away.

I have private message dragon54u with an apology. This member defended me and I feel bad that it was my mistake that got the discussion deleted.

hi debrakcareyh if you have been here long enou gh to gain 1835 points how come you do not know the various mylot rules you broke that caused
you to have your discussions deleted? for the Japanese earthquake and tsunmai yours was not the first one, so that broke the rule for duplication, and on all these that mylot admins deleted I am sure they told you the rule you had broken. why on earth when you first came here have you not read the guidelines, the rules of discussion and the frequently asked questions and answers? those are there for all of us when we first join mylot. If mylot admins did not answer maybethey felt you should have read the guidelines before posting anything especially some of the subjects you undertook. if you had any flaming against other cou ntries or religions that in itself would have got your discussion deleted. Now I know quite a while back mylot ADMINS told us that whenever they deleted a discussion they would notify the poster of that discussion and tell them what rule they had broken so if they sent you an notification that they had deleted your discussion they should have included the rule that you broke. if you did not bother to read all that, that is your fault.having notified you what you did wrong they probably feel you should have read all ot the notification of deleteion not just that they did it.

hatley, you were not a responder to my earthquake discussion. But you speak as if you know it was reported. Two of the three tags say...reported, repetitive discussion. Wondering...just who put them there.

Personally lately it has made me wonder why certain discussions tend to be removed while others that sometimes have defensive things posted in them or responded back from someone stay here. Lately it really makes no sense what is allowed to stay here, and wish there was a list for people to look at for sure. Yes, many times I have complaints and such about things going on here, but in reality if it tends to chase the Good people away that is not a good thing for sure.

I made a mistake, and thanks to the help of other members was able to get in touch with GoAskAlice. Alice who is really an Alex explained to me that not all discussions can be monitored by administration and that they rely on members to be their eyes as well as making a sweep a couple of times a day to check for themselves. With the number of discussions posted I could see how some would miss their scrutiny. HOWEVER, those that do pass under the radar and are NOT reported MAY mean that some are given a pass by OTHER MEMBERS who happen to be friends or in agreement. That is human nature. Man's systems of justice are imperfect. Even on mylot.

Darn it, that makes me angry. I love your discussions. They address important and interesting issues, not fluff like "I hate it when my kids draw on the walls, don't you?"
You always seem to have thoroughly investigated issues before you post about them, and from what I've seen, you don't push your beliefs on others or treat others with disrespect.
If someone labelled a discussion "bible nutter" in a discussion where your beliefs didn't even come up, that person must have an issue with you for something else. Perhaps he or she went on a spiteful little hunting spree in order to get you rated down?
Sigh.

Oh well is all I can say. I have made mistakes and had discussions deleted and NOT complained. I realized my mistake and took it as a matter of fact.
It was the 'bible nutter' tag that started me wondering. And other small insignificant things. The discussion on Christians being persecuted had NOT ONE rule broken except perhaps a responder's posted link to offensive pictures of prisoners. WHY delete the discussion, why not just the offensive response? THAT is why I am asking these questions and looking for answers.
