I think Verbatim are the best ones... and I also think, that much of what you write on them comes by inspiration of Cremino, isn't it? :)

but if you find in a month or two that you can't read your dvd? It's not a problem for you? I hate to loose software...or maybe my movie made during holidays! Today a friend bought for me 50 verbatim 16x Advanced AZO for 15€! So i payed them 30 eurocents per dvd! Very cheap and best quality!

I always have problems with Verbatim.
I have an Asus CD burner and an Asus DVD burner... and they don't seem to be compatible with Verbatim.
What works the best for me is TDK.
I have also used HP but they did not seem fully compatible either.
I think printable ones are good to write on. I don't have a printer yet to print on them.
