If you could eliminate any one type of insect permanently from the earth...

The fact is, everything and every creature has a place in the grand scheme of things. By completely getting rid of even one seemingly unimportant insect, it could cause a chain reaction in Mother Nature whereby entire eco-systems could collapse. Think about a bee for example. If we got rid of bee's our entire food chain would be disrupted, if not destroyed. As you're probably aware, the pollination process of bee's going from flower to flower contributes greatly in that way. That aside........I'd say I would LOVE to get rid of mosquitoes! I detest them! I can't think of any importance they have in the big picture. All they do is bite, suck blood, cause itchy patches on my skin and carry disease! Get rid of mosquitoes!
