I too agree, it is one of the biggest upsets in the world cup 2011. South Africa were considered as one of the strongest contenders for winning this world cup. But they could not make it even to the semi's. A very disappointing moment. However they have been able to remove the tag of CHOKERS as they could not make it till the end this time.

This victory of newzeland is also helpful for India as we dont need to face the team like south africa in the final(hopefully we will reach to finals)South africa is definately biggest contender of worldcup and they had the very best team to do it.But the way ryder,ross talor and williomson batted shows that they deserves this victory.And rest of the work done by the bowlers.It was a great match.

well it was expected against srilanka in the semis but didn't expect them to go down against the kiwis,that too with such a modest total.

The Proteas have always been tagged as the 'Chokers' which they proved to the hilt in yesterdays match against the Black Caps. I wouldn`t say it is the biggest upset, i feel India knocking the Aussies was the biggest one.It remains to be seen how the New Zealanders fare in the semis,incidentally the 6th time that they are entering, as they have been knocked out everytime in five encounters in WC semis.I feel that the Lankans have the upperhand in todays match, but you never know.Sri Lanka have Murli who can spin a web against the Black caps but this WC has produced quite a few surprises and maybe this time NZ may be lucky.

Hi friend,
Chokers got choked up this time forever.The kiwis reached semis for sixth time and may be thier good luck drag them to the semis.If they lose in semis nobody will blame them as it is dream for them to beat the south africa in Qaurter final.So they won't feel any kind of pressure for winning this game while apponent team will feel it as DO OR DIE situation and they will feel the pressure of winning this game.And all knows what happenes under pressure.

Kiwi's always played well against south africa in world cup encounters --- what surprised me is kiwi's managed to make it to the semi's five times in WC until now but they never managed to win one.You never know they might come strongly in the coming match.Great day.

keep Fingers crossed I also think so but they need to face some great teams in upcoming games.It will not so easy for them.

South Africa once again showed that they will not qualify to the next level, if there is a knockout match in the world cup.
they have not won a single knockout match in worldcups.
i dont know what is happening with this team in big situations.
one poor performance and the big team is out.

Reason is so simple,they can't bear excess pressure in big games.India was suffering from same problem but in the match against aussies,Indian team showed that they are now used to these kind of situation.

I cannot believe it South Africa the strongest team was defeated by weakest team New Zealand and moreover I had a hope on south Africa winning this world cup and I cannot believe and they have to walk outside now

This worldcup is definately full of uncertainties.Still the last worldcup we had seen that australia was rulling throughout the series.But this time all the teams have fair chance to win this series.In yesterdays match kiwis hold thier nerves under pressure and result was great victory as same as India did against aussies.

I think it is the biggest upset of the knockouts. But I think the biggest upset of the world cup was Ireland vs England. As Ireland was an associate nation while England is a full member nation. But yes South Africa's choker tag still remains in tact.
