hubby is now in india on business tour, in a place called Haridwar. i talked to him this morning. he says this place is full of hindu temples; Hari means , god and dwar means gate, so it is the door to gods abode. he said that they have place called Gosala, where cows are kept, they collect milk from these cows, this is sold pure in the locality. hubby visited one, will send me pictures soon. he says he took this pure milk. here in Philippines, we never get pure milk, it comes in pouches, bottles, never pure; watery. Wish i were with him and we enjoy travel together. what about your place, do you have cows for milk? Do you get pure milk? is cow considered holy? ann

My husband does a lot of business trips these days, I always wish I was withme so we could betogether of course and see the place that he goes. Wish the company lets the emplyee to bring their spouse for free on trips hehe. Where I live in famous for beaches and seafood, a great summer vacation spot, lots of people has summer houses here for the summer. We have cows, not the town that I live in though.

In our area, cows are used for two things. The first thing that they are used for is for milk and the other use is for beef that we can eat. With those two things said, we do not consider the cow to be holy here. I've never personally had the opportunity to consume pure cow's milk. However, a couple years ago I did take the kid's to a dairy farm where we were able to see the cows being milked. Actually the kids got to milk the cows for a minute as well.

I am sorry to hear that you miss your hubby, but I guess its normal to miss him when he is not with you. Here in Serbia we don't have a holy animal, but we do have a lot of cows. I don't remember drinking pure milk for ages, I guess it's because I don't have a lot of relatives living in villages. But I remember it tasted very good, hope to drink it again soon.
