Not that I personally would however , but according to local new broadcasters if you have ever taken a picture with your with your smart phone, android, palm, and iphone. Hard to believe? Check out this website @ www.icanstalku.com . Where they upload pictures from unwitting twitter users in real time. The accuracy of this program will not only tell people where you live but what bedroom of the house you posted it from. There are even some programs that will map out the size of the room the picture was taken in.
The process is rather simple to take off however, simply disable the GPS setting on your phone so that you can avoid "Geo-tagging" which is what people can use to get the information from your pictures . To see the news clip go to youtube.com and search smartphone pictures pose privacy risks. I thought it was going to be about people hacking into peoples phones but I was really shocked. What do you think about this? I know I will probably be setting the GPS to disable all other times that I don't actually need it. Do you feel that maybe companies should have to pay for putting their customers welfare and privacy in jeopardy? discuss =]

This is truly frightening. There are so many creepy people about. I have been stalked, so this issue is a touchy one. I just cannot imagine the cell companies allowing this, as it does eradicate our right to privacy. Now, I can understand if one needs to track someone for indecent behavior, such as the police, cell phone company, etc. but to make this so open and public for anyone to find is really disturbing.

Wow. That is really spooky.
I leave mine on all the time because of the stalker. If something were to happen it would be easier for the emergency response to track me. Now, it is just as easy for creepy dude to find me too!

Indeed, there are even apps you can get for the phone that are accessible to anyone . To avoid it, just make sure you GPS is turned off if u snap a picture with one of the phones above. I was shocked when i heard this , I can't tell you how many times I left the GPS on, because I use it so much when I'm driving some where lol.

I'm always interested into internet privacy matter. I think today our privacy on internet is violeted because everything has to be "social and shared". I pay attention to the information I share on internet and I post only general info about me. I knew about geo tagging photos with mobile camera and and I'm scared of it because everybody knows where are you when I shot a pic and you share. So I turned off geo tagging from my mobile because for me it isn't so useful and nobody can stalk me

I had no idea what geo-tagging was until recently. I wonder how many people have put pictures up of their kids and had strangers lurking around their place.

Interesting site! I find it is up to me to try and not put out so much personal information that anyone perhaps can use against me in any way. Although the scammers and frauds can easily get what they want no matter how much I try to hid it I suppose.
So we must be careful what we put out there because we have no idea what is being watched and for what purpose.

Yes, there are lots of ways to get caught up in a mess with fraud. I just wish that cellphone companies would have turned this feature off. I wonder if they intentionally turned on geo-tracking so that they would know where their customers really lived
