Would you want to know?

My daughter and I for some strange reason were talking randomly about life, then we got into the topic of would we want to know when or if were dying. She said to me, "I'm not sure I want to know if I'm dying?" I agree. In a way I would like to know, but then again, I don't! The "want": says spend the time you have left with people you love and loves you. Do all that you've wanted to do or accomplished. The "don't": Well, fear and worries of all the burden it will be on your love ones, the pain and so on.... All the worries and fears just shorten the little time you have left some more... So, Would you want to know if and when you're dying?

Oh yes I would like to know so I can be prepared and my family too!...at the end of the day we are all going that way[ where we like it or not]its just a fact of life! I would like to have time to talk to my family and friends and convey to them my love and gratitude and how much my life was richer because of them!

I suffer the same dilemma when it comes to your question. I think the answer to the question is based on our current situation. Are you happy or sad? If you were in a bunch of trouble that you couldn't just get out, maybe you'd want to know when it will be that you die. But if at the moment you are blissfully happy, of course no one would want to and just dwell at the happy moments. As for me, even if I am really in an awful lot of problems lately, I still wouldn't want to know when will be the day I day. That's where faith enters in. That no matter what happens, even if I don't know what happens tomorrow... I'm still looking forward to a brand new day.

I would never want to know that, all I would think about is that I know when I'm going to die. That takes away so much of what life is about. There would be no mystery on when your time is up. It would be a different story if you were sick and you had to know how much time they give you left. Cause you know your sick and you would know time is limited anyway. But yeah I would never want to know such a thing, I just imagine it will be late in my life.
