we have a beautiful white cat called Junia,
This cat was howling all the time, we couldn't sleep at night. She got spayed on Tuesday, came home on Wednesday but when she came out of the cat carrier, she was covered in blood.
She was rushed back to the vet and they did emergency exploratory surgery to find out what was wrong.
It turns out that she is a bleeder. Her blood does not coagulate. She had to have a transfusion. Now she is going back to the vet on Monday to have a blood test.
They had to give her a blood transfusion to get her white blood cell count up.
I pray that she is okay and it is not something like cancer.
have you ever had a scare with an animal like that?
explain what happened for best response.

Hi Winterose. Sorry to hear about your kitty. Glad she is okay now. Luckily I have never had a situation like this. I have had alot of cats in my life and never anything like this. When I was young my grandmother was the vet and family doctor. A cat (or a kid) would have to be pretty sick before we went to an actually vet or doctor. We must be from pretty strong stock. And cats were too. Happy days!

well she is not out of the woods yet, she goes back on Monday for a blood test to see if her blood count is normal again.

yep and she is not out of the woods yet, we have to get her to vet again on Monday so she can have a blood test to see if her blood count went up.

Oh my! I hope Junia's doing better now.
Poor thing.
I can't say as I've had that kind of scare with an animal, and I hope to never have one, either.

I won't know until Monday when she gets the blood test to see if her white cell count went back to normal.
