why do asian girls like white guys?

hi there, i am Asian,Filipino and my boyfriend is a Filipino -American, he lives in New York, yeah its a long distance relationship. i didn't like long distance relationships, since it is my first relationship, i didn't want myself to end up heart-broken. but he never stopped pursuing me to be his girlfriend. at first, i only liked him as a friend, because i was also afraid that maybe he is just a player since also he was born and grew up in the US, and he is very liberated but then eventually i fell in love with him too because he is very nice and sweet, a very good and gentleman. i asked him why me, he said because i am beautiful and very nice, and then i asked him if its true that American guys like Asian or dark-skinned girls, he said yes, they like girls with exotic beauty. and he said it depends on the guy, it is not always about the appearance but what's inside. i think it is not just because of money, if it was because of it, maybe i was the one who courted him in the first place LOL and now it has been almost 7 years and we are still very happy and going strong.

I'm not asian but at my private school we had many asian people who came over and boarded there. They all dated within their race, in fact I can't think of one of them that dated a white guy. I think it depends on the person, I'm not sure what the majority is. I only know and can go by what I have seen.

for probable reasons: 1. Asian women likes Caucasian guys because of the features.most of them look for men with different features not inherent in their country.some Asians have brown skin and some have small,almond-shaped brown eyes.Caucasians have fair skin and blue eyes.what can be deemed 'not common' in one place can be described as 'desirable',because it is rare. 2. to go on 'greener pastures'.most Asians believed that living in the West is much more better.they think Western countries have much more opportunities for them to earn money.

Perhaps it is like new toys are always more exciting than old ones. On the same note, I also wonder why those guys from the developed western countries would like to marry someone half way around the world. Girls they get to know only for a short time. Are there just too few girls available back home? There are also those bride tours and so called mail order brides which sound totally ridiculous to me. I am not against inter-racial marriages and think it is good as they form bridges between cultures.

that's not happen to me. I never date white man. I like them and have few friends. I marry local man from my country because I love him. I don't think love is about skin color but I think it's about feeling

Sometimes i think it's the destiny that bring two people together, it doesn't matter who are they, where are they from. However, you can't say that some people get married to something one from other country for some purpose. hehe!

I think a girl just wants something special. It's quite probable that the girl might be at a stage where she wants something unique and maybe network with some people that are special. White guys are just more confident. At times girls just don't want to wait.

Hey jacklintan, I am an asian, but as far i seen most of gals likes black here. But thats a common fact, even a guy likes a fair white gals. So its complexion factor. But when you take most of lovers or marriages in Asia like India, you can see the couples will be in contrast complexion.

I would frankly feel like asking a discussion "Why don't asian girls like local guys?" Could it be the grass is greener on the other side syndrome? Or that familiarity breeds contempt? You are an asian lady, so what's your own take, sweetie? Do you like white guys more than asian guys and if so or not, why? I like asian lady friends, including you of course. hehe

i think it doesnt have anything to take with black or white.what i feel is only money speaks.now a days loves dont exists only enjoyment and selfishness is there.and todays girls just see the money neither colour or cherecter of the guy.

at first i am also wondering what do these white guys have that the locals dont? i always ask some of my friends who prefer to marry white than the asian. they always told me financial stability and better living. it doesn't mean asian countries are poor ones but for them (as what my friend told me) living in us or uk is really a great opportunity because those countries are rich and powerful. poverty will be ashamed to visit there....aside from the fact that if you have a baby with a white guy,for sure she's gonna be beautiful. the combination of exotic and white parents gives a better results. I think maybe asian women is tired of fair complexion and wanted to have a white or caucasian, for a change...living overseas also is one reason why they marry a white guy. Here in our place it is not just women prefer to marry white but guys too. we are open minded in todays trend. both have the same reason. and we all wish that we will be lucky to have one. that's why we are fond of meeting them first online and let them visit us here...most of my friends are the "lucky ones" and now teasing me that i should try harder to be lucky too...they are living abroad with a very great financial status and wonderful kids.
