Nudity - An Art?

Warning: Graphics may be unacceptable! First of all, I have to warn some of you that this discussion may not be suitable for certain quarters. So, please do not feel obligated and most of all offended. I have to bring this up as I am really wondering what these people (at least the ones mentioned in this article) are thinking or whatever on earth is on their mind. It is about a certain young 25 year old aspiring model's decision to go nude in her daily life in New York to be photographed. That's right! You've got it right if your mind is anticipating a girl going about her days naked - going to work, getting a packet of cigarette at a convenience store, walking around on the streets, shopping, taking a ride on the subway or even perform mundane chores like shoving snow on the pavement! Basically, (you may want to disagree with me) I find her doings as she has stated "...don't care about being naked. I am more concerned about getting the shot right rather than worrying about being naked or what people in the streets are thinking" as overly excessive and unnecessary. I don't know what they are thinking either. I think they like public attention too. I don't see how getting such pics is going to make them more qualified as a model. I think it's stupid and not right at all. Small children might get the wrong message seeing them. If she really wanted to become a model then why go flaunting their bodies in the public, she could rather get used for that body of hers to get promoted automatically. That is how a few people get to become models and actors. It is sad. This is obscene and ridiculous. I would rather want one response that could convince me there is meaning to this act.

voldrox, I am sure she's vying for a good modelling future except I think she's started on the wrong foothold. Honestly, I am sure she's even sold herself out of all known adult entertainment media or magazines period. So, it is really meaningless or rather a vain pursuit.

I'm not so sure I would call this art. If everyone walked around naked and claimed art, there will be some shock factor. Ain't gonna be that pretty!!! Where is all that old and overweight art?????

bird123, Her last statement here, just discredit any notion of art. This is really nothing but attention hogging.
