There are a lot of Rebecca Haters out there. I, personally, dislike her music simply her song lyrics are bad and she doesn't have a good voice. What about you? What do you think of Rebecca Black?

I personally don't like her either but I think she and her manager are just pulling out a joke/parody. This might be their way of getting attention and that 30M views on youtube is difficult to ignore. I think what they are doing is effective to get people to know about her even if is is making a bad image for her.
The lyrics is undeniably bad and her voice is not at all good.

I couldn't agree more. Have you heard her new song "Prom Night"? It's far worse than her "Friday".

I haven't heard that song yet and I'm holding my comments in so I wouldn't be judgmental but I coming from the same singer I wouldn't expect more. Thanks for the share.

I believe she has a "funny voice"...thats what we will call it. Its kinda pinched and annoying. But one thing many people dont know is that the company wrote everything from the horrible and redundant lyrics to the...idk what to call the music. It was way too "mixed" along with the use of autotune. and the video was another catastrophe in itself.

You're right. It's not Rebecca's fault after all. The company made the bad lyrics and music. I still think she doesn't have a good voice. :D

you are correct, her voice is not that wonderful, but if she actually practiced and used the right techniques while singing she could probably sing decently. And she has to find her voice, shes trying to implement other singers styles into it. But she probably wont get anywhere now that this has become an internet meme.

Musicwise, I was not impressed with Rebecca Black. Maybe I would be she sang the right song in the right style, but her sound had an overwhelming "teenybopper" tone to it and just all together seemed very mainstream targeted towards a very specific age group. I can see her songs getting extensive play in the bedrooms of tweens and teens, but more mature audience will probably be left wanting something more, and I wouldn't be surprised if the younger fans she's managed to wrack up right now would be embarrassed to have liked her music when they get older. This usually seems to be the case with Rebecca Black's style. I suppose if you like that type of thing, then it's good but it's not the type of music I am drawn to (and I am drawn to pretty much any sort except the sort that has a "teen girly" flare to it).

hi gerica,
Is she the one who sing Friday? LOL.. I don't like that song either, I also hate how she sounded, its a bit weird and irritating. I don't want to be mean but shes getting attention not on a good way. Shes young and could improve her craft in singing. But the funny thing is that i heard her sing on The Today Show, singing "Put Your Records On" and she totally sounded great. Far from the chipmunk-like tune she has in "Friday".

I saw the video of her interview on ABC News. She sang a part of the American anthem and she sounded okay. But have you heard her song "Prom Night"? I listened to it on Youtube. It's far worse than her Friday. LOL.

I guess being famous for horrible music is better than not being famous at all. Sure her youtube video has over 1,000,000 dislikes to 125,000 likes. But in the world of industry fabricated pop stars she could easily be picked up by a major label slapped on MTV with a catchy song and an actual star. All because everyone saw her crappy video and said, "Wow this is horrible you gotta see it." The company that made it actually produced several more from other "artists." From what I read you pay them money they make you a music video. Personally, I think the songs are so awful its funny, then I want to hear them again. I think it's tragic that you can be famous for being that awful. But that's the way of the www.

Sure she became famous. But I wouldn't want to be known for ridicule. I wouldn't want people to be looking at me or to be talking about me because I'm a laughing stock. Thanks for your opinion! :)
