My husband is working abroad and scheduled to be home this month. I wanted to prepare something for him, maybe a small dinner, what can I do to make it more special? Can you give me any suggestions, please?

For me, a dinner will be just fine. Especially if you prepare it yourself and put some love of what you're doing for him, it will be totally so special!
Maybe a dinner with candles?

Make a Welcome Banner for him prepare a candle lit dinner for two and cook his favorite food don't forget to turn off the lights so when he open the door and switch on the light he will be surprise to what he will see.

I don't have a husband but I would try to make the time special by letting him know its all about him I would include a backrub with dinner or something sweet like that. Dinner with desert is satisfying too
