My second son 16 plus was hit badly with one chinese drunk driver which has caused him permanent disabled dated 2 November 2009, the consequences was I have to close my business and other activities to look after him in the Hospital Kuala Lumpur under several specialist doctor. Since then, until present, I have to sent him for weekly physiology and monthly with specialist doctor at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital and has caused me plenty of cash.
I hopefully this kind of drunk driver should send them to prison and permanently terminated their driving licence because they have made other suffering for life and cost great sums of money to the victim and parents
And what are the benefits to get drunk?

Any drunk driver who causes ANY accident should be automatically sentenced. Any drunk driver pulled over should get their license taken away for a year, 2nd offense 5 years. We need to be harsh, as lives are at stake.
I am very sorry to hear about your son, he didn't deserve that one bit. I hope you have support and the driver got jail time! *hugs* I hope and pray you'll get the support and finances for your son's care for as long as you both need it. I'll be thinking of you guys.

The most unfortunate thing is that this kind of event is going to be repeated everyday all over the world. Such irresponsible behavior is not only among teenagers but many adults as well.
In most countries, the laws against Drunk driving is not stern enough to deter people from doing this. Also the sad fact is most of the time, the victims are not the drunk drivers themselves but other persons on the road.
I feel sorry and the parents in this case because they are the true victims of the circumstances.

Oh my gosh, that brought tears to my eyes. It's really sad losing a child, I'm a mother, and can't imagine my life without my kids. I meant this is my FAMILY, having grown up in foster homes, this would be my very first TRUE FAMILY I'd ever have.
Unfortunately teenagers thing they're invincible and they pull every stunt in the book thinking it's not going to happen to them. I wish they will listen to their parents more these days.
I'm so sorry to hear about your neighbour's son, I hope and pray he'll get all the comfort and support he needs, it's not an easy time for him, for sure.
