Hi Betty, You're right...no reason not to be happy. But don't let the situation ruin your mood as well. Give a chance to your friend to explain the reason behind of his not showing up. I think no one wants to do what he did. Try to consider that something might happened that was out of his control...we never know. Before, what I'm believing is that promises were made to be broken, because of instances that were happened just like what you did experience. I'm not the type of person who wants to break a promise, but an incident happened that made me failed to keep my promise. I was upset then, but my friend considered what was happened that day. So, I thought that time that, there's always a reason for what is happening. I did not intend to do such thing but it happened though. Since then, I kept in mind to put myself into others's situation, thus makes my feeling to a lighter mood. It somehow avoided my day and mood to be ruined. Hope you can try that too. Yeah, some people are like that, we can't escape them. Sometimes someone's culture permits it. Other times, you might say it is because someone is a Gemini, the sign that breaks appointments, shows up late, etc. But maybe you don't believe in astrology. Whatever the reason, these people just make me appreciate the ones who show up on time.

I'm not that in happy place right now too because my sister just called me "useless". I read this quote somewhere before "Never let anyone still your happiness." and that is right but it's so much harder to do it. Some people just disappoints you or is just too mean. Everyone wants to be happy at the end but it is so much harder if people around are not on your side. So yea I will try my best for not anyone to still my happiness and I hope all of you guys should do the same. Happiness everyone.

In the past people that are good friends have let me down, that is so wrong of them.These friends who let us down never seem to care either as no matter what as long as they are ok that is all that matters.I think that people who let me down nowadays i do the same back to them, as in the end they will know how it feels.If i am in a bad mood i will find things to do to try to snap out of a bad mood.

That would happen with my one friend constantly in middle school. We planned on hanging out plenty of times and she bailed on me the last minute. For months, yeah yeah that sounds good, although I could tell she never planned on it, and then she's like oh yeah I'd rather hang out with these guys I just met. My dad even payed for her concert ticked which she never payed me back and of course she never went cause she was with these guys. "Why would I want to see a band I don't even like that much over seeing boys I do like." She really did my head in.

I dont like it too when a person will be meeting with me but does not come. If he does this the first time, I would be demanding an explanation but if he does this always then it is habitual and i will not be believing his lies anymore. i dont like people who makes their friends down. my wife has a lot of friends and sometimes she is sad because of a friend. its okay if she is sad because her friend is sad but i dont like that she is sad because a friend made her sad. or did something to her that made her angry. i guess all you need to do is focus to other things. though it is not easy make yourself happy by texting or calling another friend. laugh at photos you see on FaceBook or keep on myloting.... it will put your mind on other things.

I agree with you. IT is very disgusting when you are sincere with your words, and trying everything to catch up time especially in friendship counts. I have experienced that before but after my disappointment, I just realized the other good side of it, that maybe it happened for a reason to show me that this friend who i consider a treasure for me, may have not have the same thought as I am, but after that happens, I do not expect any such.. BEsides, the world never stops there, that is why there are many people around us, to open new doors for new friends and sooner may build better friendships

Hi dear, In fact I was looking for such an appropriate word for the same. “I am happy that someone likes me”, I like this wordings what you are written. I think it is applicable to everyone, that we would be happy that someone say that they like us. Also, I think we should keep words that we make promises to anyone at any causes. Some people make words for timings and days fix for meetings or get together and all, but some time many not turn up or do not even show the curtsy to inform for the delay or non presence. Though we feel it is not so important, but someone who waits for us would get panic and we ourself would destroy our good will and I think if we make certain commitments or time lines, always needs to be fulfilled that make us great and decent. That's good, you found a channel for your negative emotion and turn it to the good thing. Not many people can switch their emotion easily so you are amongst the luckiest. I don;t have a very deep emotion myself, so I let go easily.
