Yesterday I faced a new problem with my keyboard. I logged in a site and received error message. I put all the data again with utmost care and the result was same. I tried again and same error message. My ID was saved in the computer, I was only writing the password. I close my browser, restart it, open the site again and started to write down the ID. Then I noticed that # has been changed to ". I checked it again and again and started to check other strokes and have been confirmed that the special character stroke is giving something else. But in word it was OK. Being afraid I shut my pc,switched off it and again open it and noticed that everything is OK. Have any of mylotters faced such peculiar problems? Do anyone know the cause?

If you can type it in Word, copy and paste it in the password box -- with Ctrl+V --, maybe it will work. Not sure, because some sites are not accepting symbols as passwords, and maybe it is your problem.

topffer! thanks for responding. The site is a popular site and are accepting all types of character. And I have an account with then since long. But I shall try your suggested way in future. And it was not my problem alone atleast after the conversion with my friend. Now I am think it was any problem with Firefox.

It could be the reason of Virus or spy ware. If you have Internet Security suite , update it first and then scan your computer completely. It will solve your problem. I hope it will help you. Cheers.

it happens especially when a small virus we call worms attack your PC this things really occur for sure just update your anti-virus and maybe once a week find time to scan your system so that hidden objects that has left behind will be detected by your anti-virus..some anti-virus cannot detect worms and other small elements that attacks your system you need to have also a root kit revealer or other supports application in detecting cookies that freely runs around your system but this things can destroy your system without you noticing it..hopefully you can find one of those things that i mention for scanning and detecting small virus..just for your system to be safe...
