Old clothes

Has anyone wore clothes from back in the older days before? Like what kings and queens use to wear? What about the civil war days, have you wore clothes from then or bought any? I bought a beautiful red velvet dress from back in the king and queen days and got everything to match with it and got my pictures taken in it. I never new how many people liked those dresses.

I once dreamt of wearing medieval outfits because i love how corsets shape once body but the thing is I haven't been invited to occasions where I can where those lovely dresses

Those kind of clothes are comfortable to wear. I wasn't sure if they would be but they are. But in the summer I can see how they would roast in those dresses because of them being so heavy. Pure velvet or tapestry is very heavy. We have a castle here in town and we go and take pictures there in our dresses. My dress is brand new its just a duplicate of the original.

wow I really wanna took picture of myself wearing such clothes in a castle but here on our country we dont have castles. Lol I think its not advisable to wear those dresses this summer its too hot. And great!!you have new dress its fine to have duplicates instead of original I mean it doesn't matter its the way how you carry the lovely dress

I didn't think there were castles in Ohio but there are. More then what I new lol. Yes it would be very hot to wear those kind of dresses in the summer. You might have a melt down. Or I might lol. I will post a picture up here of the dress if it will go through.

I always thought I was born in the wrong time. I love the 'Gone with the Wind' dresses. Iwore one to prom, a really long time ago, and I loved it. I even wanted to name my first daughter scarlet but the whole family was upset about it. I still call her that sometimes now that she is a teenager. I think you should wear whatever you want all the time. Dressing up for pics is fun also.

Gone with the Wind had beautiful dresses. I love clothes back them. To me they had beautiful fashion back then. Today I don't know what they are coming up with lol. Scarlet is a beautiful name. I love wearing what I want when it comes down to clothes back then.

Hi,it is wonderful to wear some old time clothes, especially clothes in ancient china, they are so beautiful. But you know, it will be odd to wear such clothes in daily life nowadays. But there are some occasions we can take them.
One occasion is to wear these clothes before you prepare your wedding pictures. In china, most couples will take pictures in a film lab where you can choose several sets of clothes to take them on, and take pictures. I have been done this, and keep the beautiful pictures and memories.

Yes I agree it can feel odd wearing different clothes from back then to right now because some people can look at others odd. Clothes from China are beautiful as well. I have all ways wanted to get some of there beautiful dresses. That would have been nice to have pictures taken in different clothes like that. Nice memories to have.
