I like pizza ver much. And it is the food for me daily. I used to eat pizza instead of food always. Recently some one has said to me that eating too much of pizza will lead to increase in cholesterol level in blood. Also pizza will lead to increase in weight. But i cannot stop eating pizza. Are these results are true about pizza?

I think it will really increase cholesterol levels in the body because of the grease. Not all ingredients in the pizza is healthy too except for the vegetables in there but the meat and cheese and oil are main source of cholesterol.

You used to eat pizza instead of food always? Pizza is a food, lol. Pizza may be tasty, but it's unhealthy for you depending on how it's made and how much you eat.

Hi. KRTWORLDWIDE. Yes, eating pizza a lot, will most likely lead to high cholesterol levels. I love pizza, but I just don't eat it so much though. It can lead to weight gain. I think that you should limit your moderation of eating pizza.

I was just thinking about pizza for lunch. Yes, I think pizza is very greasy and can increase the cholestrol in us so we don't have pizza very often, we do it once in a while, definitely not good to have pizza as meal everyday.

I love pizza too- but I do not eat it so much since it CAN make you sick someday..it has lots of bad cholesterol. So you should not eat it all the time, or you can just eat a healthy pizza, a vegetarian pizza.

I love pizza too. But as I make my own pizzas most of the time, I can understand that we must not eat them everyday. Even if ythe dough doesn not have fat (mine does), the is the cheese. A good chesse that melts has a lot of fat. If you use a fat free chesse, it won´t melt. And I like my pizzas with lots of cheese. Some additions to pizza are better and others are worse. Pepperoni , salami and the like have fat too. If you only add tomatoes and oregano it is better. BUT when I make a tomato-oregano pizza I top it with parmesan cheese (fat again). So pizza is wonderful but don´t use it to slim down or lower cholesterol levels Take care.

It can be true but like anything else in life too much of anything can be bad for us. If a person has a high metabolism and exercises daily I do not see that it will cause the weight gain. It also depends on the quantity too. It is know for high carbs and cholesterol but the only way to be absolutely sure if it has affected when is a routine blood test.

This is definitely true. I love to eat pizza also, but as we all know, everything that tast good to us, isn't good for us. Eating pizza everyday is very unhealthy. We must take care of our bodies now, for in the long wrong. Good Luck with everything!

It depends on the pizza. A very thin crust, margherita pizza (tomato sauce and dolops of ricotta cheese) is actually fairly healthy, if it is made with olive oil and fresh tomato sauce. A thick-crust pizza from Pizza Hut or Dominoes, on the other hand, is loaded with fat and cholesterol. Even a pizza made with lots of mozzarella cheese that is topped with spinach or broccoli can be healthy, again IF it is thin crust and made with olive oil as opposed to other types of oil, because olive oil helps cut cholesterol. Tomato sauce, in moderation, is very healthy too--tomatoes are very good for you, and have cancer-fighting agents as well. So if you do want to eat a lot of pizza, make sure you are eating a good quality, well-made variety and you should be ok.

Yes, it's true. Pizzas contain a lot of fatty ingredients which turn into fat cells in our organism and these cells accumulate on the inner sides of the blood vessels. Increasing the number of these cells hides a risk of increasing the cholesterol levels in the blood and from there - to a lot of unpleasant disorders. But just like you, I love pizza and I can't stop eating it any chance I have.
