thought we would have a boy...and with all the OB visits, my wife gave birth to a girl... 5:15 am, philippines time... today... March 28, 2011 i am happy... and feel so peaceful inside... it was good that i was told last friday that we will have a girl, so i took my time looking for a name with simple yet profound conviction... JylFae...Jyl meaning "youthful" and Fae meaning "faith" JylFae... one word... "Youthful faith" endless, childlike, ever believing... did anyone have the same feeling of peacefulness when your first child was born? what's their names? are the names meaningful?

Congrats on your new little one. My first daughter was overwhelming excitement along with some nervousness, because I didn't really know what I was doing. She was a natural birth and I was able to have my mom and husband there with me. We decided to name her Jamilyn. My middle name is Lynn and my husbands name starts with a J so that is how we came up with Jamilyn Faith. With my second daughter it was defiantly peacefulness after she was born. I could of sworn that I was going to be pregnant forever. When I finally did have her she was delieverd emergency c-section. So with the entire scramble and fear of making sure she was okay, that when she was born it was a great relief to know that everything was alright. We named her Ayriana Hope. Ayriana means "blessed" and we were truly blessed to have a healthy little girl. Once again congrats to you and your family.

Congratulations! I have had several friends who believed they were having one gender and ended up with the other. Surprise! As long as the baby is healthy, that is the most important thing. You picked a beautiful name for you daughter. My first-born son is named after his father and my father (his grandfather), and my younger son is named for both grandmothers. Picking a name for a child can be so difficult, but I think you took your time and came up with an excellent choice! Enjoy your new baby girl!!!

thank you i took my time, alright, 1 hour...hehehehe.. well, having thought first of a baby boy, the name Symon Gig stayed in our minds...but when i was told last friday that we'll be having a girl, i went straight to the laptop and surfed the name, and i wanted "faith and Simeona first, simeona meaning woman of virtue as it turned out... but having known simeona as a common name, i opted for something more different but not far from faith..., thus, Jill, Jillian and finally Jyl came to the picture... God is good, it is a beautiful name... :)

I would say that having another life is another happiness for both of you. Having a baby would give you another hope and fulfillment everyday as she grows. JylFae would be a great name and I am very sure she would be happy living with parents like you. Congratulations! Such a bundle of joy!

Congratulations on the birth of your baby daughter. I hope that your wife had a positive birthing experience with your darling little baby girl. I wrote a list of names I liked the sound of when my baby daughter was born and I didn't think so much about the meaning of the names. I decided to call my daughter Amber. I believe that Faith is a very pretty sounding name. I felt a peacefulness when my baby daughter was born. It is possible to see amber in shop that sells crystals. It comes from the Baltic countries amber does.

Congratulations on becoming a father, asiamooner. I have a daughter. Her name means 'woman of virtue' or 'woman who has good conduct or nature'. It is a sanskrit name and we were very particular that she should have either a sanskrit or a telugu name. (Both are languages in India)

Congratulations, You must be so proud and happy. I also like the name, good choice. I have no children yet but my fiancee and I are planning to have one after our marriage. We already have a name in mind but choose not to be public about it so that there will be no other name like our baby to be. Congratulations again and good luck... Godbless

Congratulations! You must be very happy! When I gave birth to my daughter, I felt full of joy, relieve and happiness! Her name is Boryana which doesn't mean anything specific, it's just a native traditional name for our country. I think "Faith" would be a good name for your girl. In my country "faith" is pronounced "Vyara" and many people give this beautiful name to their daughters.

congrats proud papa on your first born! it sure is a blessing no matter the gender is. now you're a complete family. welcome to jylfae! she sure have a pretty meaningful name. having a new addition in the family brings us parents a different kind of joy. it took us sometime to come up with our first born's name. his name which i opt not to divulge here means "belonging and remembered by God". :)
