In my hometown, during spring festival, most of my relatives or people around me play mahjong almost every day. They seems to have a lot of fun. Is it really that interesting? do you like playing mahjong? or what do you unually do when you are free?

When I'm free I just hangout with friends. If they're unavailable I surf online or do some artwork. I've currently dedicated my time participating in an animation crew on producing an animation short. I figure this will eat some of my time whenever I'm doing nothing.

I don't really know how to play mahjong so even if I wanted to I can't. I'm also bad at learning old school board games and card games. The animation short isn't finished yet but here's one I've already finished. It's crappy because this is the very first I've done. I did this for educational purposes. hi Janexiao^^;
just like eds above, i only know how to play mahjong on my cellphone or laptop but not the real one
i have seen real mahjong in some places but mostly played by adults like parents who have nothing to do and most of the time they are gambling so playing mahjong is not just entertainment here, it's already like their job

Yap, Its started when my friend lose his Mahjong playmates. He had an idea to teach us the younger ones how to play so that when we know it he has somebody to play with. So all of us 15 friends of him start to study then after we learn he always ask if we can play. Sometimes with bets but not every time since I'm on college that time. Then if we have no activity we spend a day, night and another day non stop playing till we all get sober and tired. But that's 3 years ago, he's in Singapore right now and we are all busy with our jobs.

Haha, you were so energenic playing all day and night. I think it's a good memory for you and your friends,you played together, you were laughing. So sweet. It reminded me of my high school life, my roommates and i ,we told stories almost every night that time. I wish they and your friend are all have a good life.

Yeah, I enjoy watching people play mahjong but I do not know how to play the game. It is also a good past time as said by most people who play them. I thin the game is also addictive as evidenced by the gamblers who play Mahjong. Not being judgmental about the game it is fun.

When i was a small girl, i often watched my uncle play mahjong, but he often scolded me and asked to go away. so i don't like to watch people play it after that. now people play it not just for fun, as what you said, some of them look for excitment to bet for much money

hi Janexiao!
I think mahjong is a typical chinese or japonese game. Here in my country is not so popular but I remember I played some years ago and it was fun. I don't have the board game but I played from online flash sites.
Cheers!

When i was in college, in our dorm, the landlady used to play mahjong with some boarders. Sometimes, when someone quits, i was made to pitch in.
It's really an enjoyable one and addicting too. We would play it until midnight!
I haven't played mahjong since then though , and i guess, i have forgotten how to play it .

I hate mahjong and it is too teriable that people play mahjong so often. I often see people playing mahjong here and there, old and young, man and woman... my father is one of the playing persons, I hate mahjong. I don't know how they are so addicted to such bad game.
