Which ereader is the best for a student going into college for medical studies?

I have been saving money for an ereader, and I have looked at the Kindles, and Kobo ereader, and still can't decide. Anyone with personal experience with either of these devices, do you like your device, and what are your favourite features of your ereader?

I don't own one but since I'm interested in buying one in the future I've read lot of comparisons and since you're saying you're going to use it for medical studies I think you should search for something with a larger screen than the usual to proper visualize pdf files with medical images. I've seen 6'' screens and they are really tiny. They're good for normal books but as I said you should consider a larger one if you need to read also pdf files. Many PDF files can't be re-flowed properly and others have pages made with large images that can't be re-flowed at all. Anyway, before buying something I recommend you try one of them in a shop to see how they are working. Even if it's different model or brand from the one you are going to buy, so can you have an idea, because when I saw some of them the first thing I though was that they were looking way better online

I don't have experience with any ereaders yet. I have been thinking about getting one yet. I honestly don't need one, I have about 100 paperback books upstairs waiting to be read lol. But I'm a sucker for technology. Anyways, I was wondering what the differences were in all the e-readers. I searched product comparisons and found a website that offers comparisons of all sorts of stuff, e-readers being one of them. I compared the ipad, kindle, nook (barnes and noble's e-reader) and I think one other one I hadn't heard of. Ipad is basically the front runner if you can afford it. It is basically a laptop computer plus you can download the kindle app. So it can do what kindle can do plus a lot more. I heard the ipad 2 is better than the original, lighter and faster and more. I would try the product comparison sites and choose the one that will work for what you want it for.
