Didn't even realize it was Monday until someone IM'd me and mentioned it. Trying to get into my email and couldn't get the password right. Is this Monday or what? So, any way. We have a Taco Bell right across the side street from us. (If you are familiar with my rants on here you know how I feel about Taco Bell)So, today they decide to really irritate me....They have a tree cutting crew out in their parking lot. Have been there since about 10a.. First they were just moving around and sounded like they were doing some cutting of the little bushes they have around the parking area. They they started using the bigger machine and I see now what they are doing. They are cutting down all the bushes they have along the drive thru. There must be fifty or sixty of them about eight feet tall. So first they cut the bush down and then put in the machine that makes sawdust out of the wood.(Whatever it is called.) Manotinous, continuous NOISE!! And it is nearly five now and they are about a third of the way done!! So, does this mean they will be here again tomorrow? Ugh!(Our windows don't drown) out the noise much just buffer it alittle. Ever have work done in your area that drives you crazy!?

U have really got a thing w/taco bell, lol. I know what u mean by the noise tho. I also hate noises like that but things have to be done. I even hate hearing someone mow my yard but it has to be done.

I really do have a think with Taco Bell. Yep! I like peace. My room is my sancuary and I had to talk a green streak to get the back apartment so I didn't have to listen to kids yelling at one another. I enjoy hearing children playing but not so here. Older kids torturing the younger and just being mean. I hate it! Can't stand to hear it. I am very sensitive to noise and emotions.

Ack. I find that the older I get the more bothered I am by sounds. I had a neighbor once that would regularly weed eat his yard, no problem, right? Wrong. For some reason he had to run that trimmer up against his cedar fence, and our houses are very close. It sounded awful. From early spring to late fall, two or three times a week. I hate people who have to kill out everything that is growing someplace. I want to go live in the woods! I feel like a real slob because I would rather let things be a little natural and green.

Oh, me too! My girlfriend always thought I had a screw loose because when I bought plants I didn't buy just the right size for whatever ever area I was putting it in. I would get it smaller because I liked to let it grow. I love the woods! And the more overgrown the better!

We haven't had a work in our area that drives me crazy recently. But I can remember one activity in the neighborhood that left me without sleep the whole night. Two weeks ago at the last wake of a neighbor, they had the videoke machine from 4pm to 8am the following day non-stop. And people at the wake were taking turns to sing. It was really really irritating. I just can't sleep with a lot of noise. I'm just glad it was a Saturday night at least I still have Sunday to catch up on sleep.

Sounds like when my girlfriend's father moved into a community with roller church in the neighborhood. Loud chanting, singing and who know's what late into the night. Young kids and we didn't understand what in the world they were doing.

Oh my, we have one at the office this morning.
Since our office is situated on the second floor and the third floor is being drilled for some fixtures being constructed for the Hotel they are starting to make, we really can hear the noise so well! It went on for quite an hour and it made our eardrums blast and our head ached.
Good thing, i noticed, the drilling has stopped now. Maybe they could do it at night when there are no offices that could be disturbed by it. Right?

Last Summer the Highway Dept worked nights on the street out here. It was Summer so we liked to have the windows open and so for several weeks it was the pits.

I am sure the workers inside had fun like did trying to hear. They have gone and I see the street on the otherside now which is nice. Trying to positive. I wonder if they will be back tomorrow to do more or if that is all they planned. You can't really tell.

Truly annoying and they will be back again to annoy some more tomorrow so maybe some ear plugs would help lol..
Bad day for you and hope it gets better for you tomorrow but with the added noise it is almost a shoe it won't. Get plenty of rest tonight so that you can at least try and get through tomorrow with a bit more ease.

Thoughts make things bad. Maybe there is some way for you to make this experience pleasant by finding another point of view. Maybe think of the saws and the noise as music. Find some way to laugh about it and shrug it of.
This way you spare yourself a lot of stress.
