Can movies be considered a positive influence on a childs life ?

I was just wondering if movies could be considered as a positive influence on peoples life ?

we all would love to raise good citizens but the way people are turning out nowadyas that fact doesnt seem to be apparen so i cannot help but question the basics

It not only depends on the movie, but it really does depend on the child as well. I think that the great thing about children is that they are unique, in the sense that their mind are going to be simulated in different ways. Therefore, there are going to be a lot of movies that certain children are going to get a positive value out of and how it is going to enrich their lives.
Still there are some movies that really are not going to give a positive value to children and their lives. It is really one of those things that parents should just use their own best judgment. There is really no one who knows how their children should react then the people who raise them. Or at least, they should be. Still again, they can be a positive influence.

I believe that they can yes but also some movies with have a negative outcome on peoples life it all depends on the life situation at the time and things we are going through emotionally etc.

it could go either way. it is capable of positively or negatively influencing our lives, especially that of a child. it really would depend on the values the movie promote, on the level of guidance given by the parents by watching and on the child's predisposition (genetically influenced). A child's mind and character is pretty much influenced by what he sees, hears and observes. i guess the child could easily do that while watching a movie.
