It will be the Mothering Sunday in the UK this coming Sunday. There will be a service in church for my school and students might invite their mothers to come and join with them so that they can thank their mothers by giving them flowers during the service. How will you celebrate it with your mother? For people living outside the UK, will you usually celebrate with your mothers on the Mother's Day within your own country?

Here in the Philippines, we do the same celebration like yours in Christian churches. On Mothers' Day, I am more excited than my mom. Weeks before it, I plan how the whole day's schedule will go. I usually prepare several options for her to choose from, because there are times when she wants to go out for fine dining and movie viewing after church. She enjoys accepting flowers from us and the church. I would always tell her words of appreciation for doing a great job, being a mother to me and my siblings. Latelay, I would always bring Jatropha Oil with me, ready to massage her aching knees when she walks too much.

I don't know there's another celebrating day for Mothers beside Mother's Day, we only celebrate Mother's Day here. My siblings and I usually buy a gift to my mum, and have dinner with her if we are at home. What's the story behind this Mothering Sunday?
