According to Robert Kiyosaki, in order to become rich, an ordinary man needs to be investors or business owner. However this group of people are not that common as they have an entrepreneurial spirit that is lacking in many of us. When people see trouble they is opportunity. They tend to look at thing a little different.
I would like to find these business owners and if possible share your business story with us. I would like to get motivated by stories from you!

What is bad is there is so much scams out there that if a business person were true and really wanted to help people succeed. I might jut think that it is just another scam. It would be nice to find a true business person to help lead a person into a business and invest in the business and them get paid back slowly with the person profits or just a donation to try to help someone. If they charge we would just think that it was another scam.I hope you have good luck in finding something that isn't a scam or that you dont' find out later on that they helped you so you could be the fall guy in something illegal that you didn't know was illegal.

Instinct, they say, is the business sense that enables one to succeed in the field. Sorry iwrite, I don't have it. But you can test some waters anytime, like if you are interested in marketing products, you can begin small by retailing. Ask people to help you market products you like and pay them commission for their work. By the time you know it, you have more workers helping you. I think business people call it networking!

eileenleyva,
Do not be sorry, at least you provided an opinion for me to ponder. I guess not everyone have business sense or even if they have, they find it too risky, the prefer the conform of a job, not knowing that a job is even more risky, for no matter how well you do it, it is not in your control. Really, so many people get sack because of bad decision on the top.

i dabble a bit on network marketing business for a year now. i started out pretty small just to check out the products. it was referred to me by a mylotter from my area. we had great results from the products and several from my family got interested because of first-hand experience and personal testimonial.
then i invested on the business, turning one of the guestrooms at home as a product center involved in product distribution to members. i basically do the gruntwork like inventory, marketing & promotion and sales reporting. my group is only about a hundred people, mostly product users and not really doing the business while others do it for the extra income also. this enabled family members to have extra income source (examples are my nephew and nieces as well as their grandparents). and several micro-entrepreneurs and health workers in our community were given alternative source for extra income as well.
more than the business side, is having the opportunity to improve one's health. most of my group initially has health concerns. they started out as customers then later become members and doing a bit of business after they have tried out the products as well. that's where a good business selling point comes (in my experience and in my opinion only.).
because of my exposure in the microfinance world and working with different financial institutions, i know how people value hard-earned money. it's really a big blow when they get scammed. so i'm really careful with it and i get to do some financial and health counseling for my members and customers too.
learning is a continuous process for me. i still have a lot to cover in learning the ropes and running my own business no matter what the size is. aside from network marketing business, i dabble a bit in other smaller and seasonal businesses as well... whenever there is a good opportunity in my areas of interest.
in one of the seminars i attended, a speaker was quoted for revisiting the trail of blessings, things we excel on and those we are passionate about. these 3 can help us succeed in our ventures. another is the element of help. helping group members grow and succeed would reflect back on us. just like in the business of leveraging, those who succeed would rather have 1% of the effort of 100 men than bank on 100% of the effort of 1 man.
aside from kiyosaki, there's several that has made references on success, business, wealth etc. i'm currently attending a program with several seminars aimed to be of great help in several areas... and i'm loving it. this one is based on principles in the book of charles haanel, the basis of "the secret", and rumored to be the same principles that has led business magnates like gates and best-selling authors like canfield to success.
oooppsss! sorry, i seem to be getting carried away... again (as i usually do) hehe. i should stop here before someone tells me i turned my response to a novelette yet again. hehe
if you are venturing on a business, i do hope you make a success of it. good luck!

I think you have given me a bit to think about, learning is a never ending process and I would have to continue to learn in order to be more successful. So I need to stop myself from giving more excuses for not learning.
I was a little skeptical about MLM before but maybe Robert Kiyosaki changed my mind. I got involved with a Travel MLM. The thing is I would think that even if I do not even from it I would be able to enjoy the benefits of luxury travels and budget price. Any opinion on this since you are experience with MLM?

there are many types and forms of MLM. even online networks relying on referrals is one. sadly, about 95% of those who do MLM are not successful based on research. most were deemed scams. or simply they failed to take off. (well, nobody said it would be easy. hehe)
and i am a little skeptical too whenever i encounter newer MLM companies with get-rich-quick schemes without lifting a finger. because reality is, it doesn't work that way.
i believe what sets companies apart in the MLM industry is the product itself. be it in direct selling, referrals, product distribution, commission sales or profit sharing... what matters is that the product works for you, because if it doesn't... it's hard to sell the idea, more so, the business.
example is a food supplement. i used to suffer from asthma attacks and i had flu almost every month. i easily get colds and gets tired easily also. when a product works for me, i am encouraged to let my family and friends try it also. why shouldn't i, right? and when you see an 8 year old who frequents the doctor for the same health issues and becomes absent from school regularly at least 1-5 days a month, why shouldn't i try to help... right? especially if it's my sister's son. and i'm very glad that for the past 7 months taking the food supplement, my nephew has not been sick even once, in even extreme conditions than what he's been used to.
can you send me a pm on the company name of your travel MLM? i do have an idea, and i can give you a feedback if any of my group has experienced it. what i could say is, it's like a privelege card or a discount card. it enables one to enjoy travel/accommodation at a reduced cost. and it has a target market. tap that, and you have a captured market. but it still is an additional cost if it's not part of the regular consummables. but then again, it's fun if you enjoy traveling. and it is handy also to know cost-effective airlines and hotels in different areas when traveling.

I am desperate to start my own business but I lack the funds to get started. All I have managed to do is start a couple of affiliate websites that have made me the grand total of $1.64 and so far it is very disheartening. My objective is to run the websites and save the money for the boarding cattery I want to open. If anybody out there knows how to promote a website I will be glad to hear from you!

What kind of business are you looking into, I mean there must be a sector that you are targeting right? perhaps someone here would be able to help you once you set out your plan.
johnpillai
Perhaps do some research on what sector you want to be in. That is what I would do and that see if it is profitable. For me if I do business I want to make money.
chaze01
you are right there is a lot of information online and you really have to go find it. I think you would be happy that almost everything could be free.

I think I am a business woman here. I have started to publish my first book. I did some invest on my first book. It will come out to market within one month. I have some more manuscripts. I have planed to publish them one by one. I have some problems in publish them. the main problem is money. I have to invest to publish my book. The 2nd one is language. I am not so good in English language. If I were so good in English I could do more.
And by the way I don't know whether I an a born business woman. I am just a children lover and always be with children. But my endless money problems itch me to do this business. I am always grateful to my hubby that he gave me some money to invest on my books, though he has financial difficulties.

many has opted to publish an e-book rather than print because of the cost that is entailed. i can see that you are passionate about children and writing about them and it's great. that itch in pursuing your passion can one day reap rewards for you. i wish you the best of luck and hopefully... funding too.

I'm not a business owner here, though i want to be one. Some of my friends are business owners, either via their own means or take over from parents. It's not easy to start out, especially in getting people to know about them. Most of the time, they rely on friends, relatives to help out in promoting their business. Once it's on track, everything will be smooth sailing. Their motivation to keep the business going? Money and interest for their business.

I am a business owner since last year. What do I do? Well, I am not a manufacturer nor a shop front. I do what I am good at. My business is connecting sellers and buyers in the marketplace.
For doing this, I'd charge a fee or overider commission. I find this very exciting and gets passionate day after day.
The best part is I decide my work day, takes vacation when I feel like it, and the list goes on and on.
I'd encourage as many as possible to run their own businesses, whether it is big or small. Start somewhere.

I'm not really a business owner here, because i'm doing freelancing jobs.. haha =D NOt online, but in real. Actually it's not difficult to start a business, as long as one has the idea, and willing to put in effort. Getting business known and spread is difficult, but that's the only hardship. After we passed that stage, everything will fall into place.. haha =D Always remember, supply to the demand.

I am already started with the Travel MLM business, the thing is at the end of the day if the business does not work for me I am still ok as I would enjoy luxury travel on a budget. Plus travel is a big industry and usually appeals to people with money, and would be able to target a bigger sector, men, woman boy and girls.
that is base on my research.
by the way, how is your freelance jobs, it could be your business too, outsource your service.

hmmm
businesses are no longer trapped in the common idea of having a building, some employees and a product to sell.
businesses can be as little as a candy filled basket or as big as shipping industries.
maybe it would be better if you just asked, who are the entrepreneurs here... because entrepreneurs are business people.

I think you are right, there are some people who are more creative and others just spin the good old system and make it better, i.e. starbucks, they took the coffee industry by the neck and give the costumer a new fell. Then there is Apple, in an over crowded smart phone business they stand out.

Excellent topic! Wouldn't it be great if everybody shared their ideas and how they earned what ever they did! I have not really earned much on internet at least not enough that I can share with anybody. Definitely would love to hear other people's achievement stories.
