Why is The Vampire Diaries Season 2 Episode 17 taking too long?

Can't wait for the latest installment of TVD, I need my Damon fix! LOL. Do you guys have any idea why they have a month long break in between episodes?

That isn't for first time when TVD have long break in between episodes? Do you remember the first season? But don't worry we must waiting only one week :)

Sorry got hooked on TVD after season 1, and I had an overnight marathon of the whole season. :P. With that I think must have contributed to my impatience. Yes 1 week it is for us. Thanks!
