That's is not acceptable. But we need to accept the facts that this is real. Politician is always a politician... I don't know if those politician still have conscience why they still in power since they knew for a fact that their fellow citizen is always ask for a cents...

Yes, that is true that those politician can only be seen during election, and they can accept anything that they normally cannot accept, but once they have won the election, the people who talk bad about them will became their enemy and will get caught anytime if you do not follow and support them.

Yeah, it's a sad fact. Maybe because voters always want changes in the present system of government. Most of these promises came from newbie candidates but to our dismay they also follows their predecessors who just wants to get elected. And once they got the post there forgot everything they have promise. The sad thing is most of them used their position just to get rich.

That is painful that we vote for someone who gave us unknown promises that we never know whether he/she will fulfill or not. It is not necessary that politician who won the election will keep their promises, there are politician who won the election that never really show their face and go and see the people anymore, they just stay in the office and wait for the money to come at the end of the month. Actually, which party won the election is quite important especially at this stage, where certain party have been holding the majority position for too long and these politician think that they can do anything that they like. So, it is time to make them have less sit in the parliament so that they know that they have to really be careful with what they going to say and what they going to do.

Hi devijay78, If the politician can do something that benefits the people that are below the poverty line, it is not too bad. At least they do something to help the people, I think people who are in he middle income range will always do not get the benefit from the government project or policy but these people always need to pay more for what the government did.

Yes, you are right, whoever that have won the election will always became richer because their are so many undisclosed benefits that we do not know, they are in the better position to get more money easily and get their own project approved more easily where they can approve it using their own authority and power. That is why so many people wanted to be a politician. How many politician are really wanted to work for the peoples?

I think those politician do not need to take any special course to learn how to lie, but that is their born talent that actually already in their soul and body, that is why we all as a people will never know what is in the politician mind, and it is hard to know when the politician lies until he/she have won the election.

I believe those politician that never keep their promises will not stay long on the position. We the people are not as stupid as what they thought, there are proof that people can control what they want from what happen to many countries recently where their president were force to step down because of they never take care of their people. Yeah, you are right, politician are always only fight for power and they only think of their own benefits, they will never think about their people. From what I have learn from the past experiences, only new and young politician will take care of the people, those old politician are so cunning and very rare will really take care of their people, they only fight on something less important related to their power or authority in the parliament but never trying to solve the people problem with priority.

You are quite right, we always give chances to the politician with hope and after they have won the election, they will start to look for chances to implement all kind of taxes on the people....so call for the people's goodness but actually for their own benefits.

For me once you have promised something to the people, you have to make it become real, there are no excuses that you cannot keep your promises because of other factors. If there are too many obstacles to keep your promises, you should never promise to the people. Many people do not believe in politician, just because they have made too many empty promises that never really be realized.
