Public speaking idea?

what i suggest is that you think about what you want to talk about like are you a serious person funny person then pick the topic that best suits your personality unless there are restrictions and stuff thats what i did, i picked something i liked and talked about it and it suited e too i chose to talk about halo reach and how it is very different from many shooters and stuff

first of all, how'd you end up giving a public speech next week? there's got to be a reason why. and if so, what is the theme for the event? when speaking in public, you must be aware who your audience would be. so pick a topic that they must be interested to listen to, and of course, should be relevant to the event's theme.

I am not really good about topic selection for public speaking but I would suggest the conflict in Libya would be appropriate because the topic is very broad and a number of people are already oriented about the crisis. It can even be a very interactive discussion between you and your audience. Hope this helps.
