I've just heard it from the local news that a manager from citybank going to jail because she manipulate customer's money for over 17 billion. she's beautiful, she's fashionable, and rich but the money she got is from cheating. I feel pity to the customer. they trust the bank to save their money but but the bank's officer did that to them. although the bank promise to refund the money but I don't think they'll trust it anymore. and it is a very embarrassing issue for citybank reputation too

ohhhhhh this was very wrong and why people do this type of silly activity why the employee do this. It is good bank manager going to jail but he should do the inquiry about this fact.
Yes this is my own experience of Buldhan Urban Bank a small bank in Nagpur. I fill 1000 rs in the bank and my mistake my purse remains there after some time me and my husband return back in the bank and say please my purse is on your counter they says I dont know no purse is here and main thing is slip is in the purse and when next time I come back for withdrawal the amt they says in your account no entry of 1000.
We are approach to the bank manager he is also said no entry in our cash book but I said in my passbook entry is there he was saying by mistake in your passbook entry I say ohhhh how is it possible without depositing money why I given to my passbook so passbook entry is true and I deposited 1000 rs but on the same in your bank my purse is lost but they not agree. So bank employee is also not good.

Thanku my friend I rated your comment because you say nice God will give me more than my purse I like this beautiful sentence. Really my experience was so bad because money deposit slip and 4000 rs for my mobile and vehicle license all are in my purse. I was going purchasing the mobile after visiting the bank but so sad this was not possible after after this incident.

I thought that bank staff on the desk didn't know their customers pin number. The people working in the banking service that have access to such information are very secretive. I am so very surprised that a bank officer cheated and went off with 17 billion dollars of a customer's money. It will be a shock for the pretty and wealthy lady to go to jail. She will find her jail term a nightmare.

When things like that get into the news it's terrible for the reputation of the bank. I doubt anyone will trust them again, or atleast it will be awhile. I also think that people may try to go ahead and pay off their loans etc so that they don't have to deal with citibank anymore. From what I understand citibank is more of a loan place then it is an actual bank.

Hi. dznurani. Welcome to myLot! This is terrible and so sad! Look at how she has ruined the bank's reputation. Now the customers don't trust this bank anymore all because of what an bank officer did. What a crying shame! When will people learn to stop being so dishonest? Why would she cheat these customers out of their money? If she is so rich then why would she need their money anyway? Well I guess by now, she has learned her lesson. If not, then spending time into jail, will.

that is real blow to that bank, or to any bank. to think that they can take our money.. now i don't have much money, but if i had, i would have problems with trusting banks.
and i read some mans notes how the bank lied to him and said that didn't have the worker that day in working place, to execute his order on the stock exchange, and when he called on their lie, the bank manager said you don't have any weight with us, we have wealthier customers. and that was really respectable bank.
after that man angrily tried to take all his money from that bank that same day, they took 10000 penalty for quick withdrew of big money WITHOUT warning him.
That just shows - the banks are run buy man and they will scam you if they can.

Yes it really is. I am not really surprised tho. This type of thing has been happening for years. I think that its actually kinda sad. People get to a point that they feel so insecure that they cant be happy with what they have and accept their self for who they are. She had a good secure job, unless with all the other banks closing her sense of security was lost. Now she gets to live in jail. That will be pretty terrible for her. But you cant go around doing that kind of thing.

Hi there Dznurani!
That is just wrong. She deserves to go to jail. That amount is really big and I can just imagine how hard people have to work in order to get that kind of money. Most of the time, looks are deceiving. Normal persons, even beautiful ones can sometimes surprise us with the things that they can do. You're right. This will definitely damage the reputation of the bank.

I bet the bank has to make some damage control since this is a very big issue. For the longest time, people have the impression that their money deposited at the bank is safe and to think that someone with a higher position can manipulate your money is just scary.

she should have known she'd be caught eventually, maybe she did and didn't even care. thats horrible that someone would do something like that. I feel really bad for the people she did it to, or the people that use that bank, it would scare me. It scared me just hearing that and fears me for my own bank. you never know with people I guess. the most you can do is hope that you have good people taking care of that sort of thing.
