We all know there is a lot of talk about the world coming to an end in the year 2012. Especially because there are so many things coming to pass that is written in the bible (wars, natural disasters) and it's kind of spooky. I can't believe that God would bless me with my first child just 8 months ago, for then the world to end next year. I pray to be able to see my grand children some day and just watch my daughter grow. Does any one else share any fears about 2012?

There's no point in worrying about it. We can't stop it and should the devistation of the predictions be true we can't prepare for it. Better to worry on today until there's no more todays to be had..Enjoy!

Hi. Neicy30. Welcome to myLot! I agree with you, I ask myself this so many of times before. Especially being that I have young children. I know how you feel. Why would God end the world when there are still babies being born? I do get scared just thinking about it. Sometimes I look at my children and I say to myself, that we all will have to die someday. It is very sad, so sad. But I believe in Jesus Christ, so when I get to heaven everyone that I have ever loved will be there with me. Just like now. This is assurance that life still goes on. I am not ready for the world to come to an end, I hope that all of this talk is just manly and not Godly. Only God knows, and only him.

I still believe that only God knows when will be the end of the world. It can be earlier than 2012 and it can also be later. We don't have to worry, all we have to do is keep our faith to Him. Those happenings were just a test for us. Let's just continue being good and everything will be fine for us, in God's will. :)

I dont believe it, but I guess anything is possible. I highly doubt it! Most of it I think is something people enjoy, although they'd never admit it. They even made a crapy film about it. The people I went to school with used to talk about it like it was a fun and exciting topic and made such a spectacle of it. Maybe thats cause their either very scared about the possiblity of it, or they don't buy into it at all.

I think that the maya peoples were tired of making calenders hence they left it , and today's archeologist are thinking that its is because the world will end in 2012.
this is just an imagination of our Archeologists

I don't think people really care whats going on, if they ware they ware starting to recycle more stuff and stop throwing any trash in any place they go. In my opinion Human is the worst thing that "walked" on earth, we say we are smart but look where we are now, we can't survive w/o technology. And i`m one of the people who is addicted of internet, i can't picture my life w/o it. About the 2012 world ending, i don't believe that, ofc the mayas have made alot of predictions that ware pretty acurate but they have NOT SAY that world will come to an end, they just stopped that calendar, calendar based on astronomy, and stars.
Cheers.

Hi Neicy, The world will end for all of us when we die, and that will be 2012 for many people, just as it will be 2011 or 2013 for others. The world is changing very fast and we probably wouldn't recognize the world even 25 years from now and certainly not 50 years. The biggest danger right now seems to be what we are doing to the environment, and the fact that we can't get along together. We must clean up our act, and I'm thinking mainly of the big corporations, to save the planet and we've got to realize that we are all one, with the same hopes and dreams for our families and friends. Changes are already happening, we don't have to wait for 2012. Blessings.

no I'm not concerned about the world ending in 2012. There has been quit a lot said about 2012, but there was a lot said about y2k and things like that as well. Our earth was created and intended to be here forever we can have confidence our earth will not be destroyed. You can put your mind at ease and enjoy your daughter. When there are a lot of talk about things like this it can be scary when we aren't sure what to expect.

I'm thinking of that too but I've just realized that 2012 is not the end of the world. As what I've read in the internet. 2012 is not the end of the world. It is just a Transition period for us. We shouldn't worry about the future. Let's focus on today.
