Well, I was wondering if for you chocolate is an adiction or not. Once you start can you stop eating it? As for me it's not really an addiction but I can't have it until Easter because I gave it up for lent along with crisps, ice cream, sweets and biscuit. I am trying to be more healthy but still find loads of not so good for me things to eat which I didn't give up like loads of ritz crackers. Well that's why I can't eat chocolate what about you??

Hi guys. I'm not actual addicted to chocolate or anything like it. I just like it. I gave it up for 23 days so far out of 46 and I'm doing good.

It can be addictive for some people. It is not the sugar in choclate that it addictive; there are other chemicals in chocolate that affect serotonin levels in the brain (pleasure stimulators). I personally am a chocoholic. If I do not get at least a small portion of chocolate each day, my hands start to shake until after I have eaten some. No other candy or sugar will stop this reaction.

It's not addictive at all for me. I didn't know you could actually be a chocoholic. Are you sure you can't stop yourself with a lot of self control I could always(well not really) control myself you just got to tell yourself you can do it. It might not work because I don't know how theses things work.

I think it depends on the person, if the person has the tendency to be addicted with something then anything could be addictive. :) However, on my side, we do eat chocolate more than once a month but there are days when I'd rather not eat (or don't feel like eating chocolates).

Yes. I know some people just eat and eat and don't relize when their full or had enough because food in general is so nice. Only once a month that's nothing. Your definetly not addicted. Yes some times you just had enough choclate.

For me chocolate is not an addiction. I live in Belgium, so we have the best chocolate around. I love eating it, but I don't overdo it. I think I used to eat more chocolate than now, not sure why though! I still love it. :) I couldn't give it up for such a long time like you did, though. I wouldn't really know why I would. I don't really think it's unhealthy if you eat chocolate moderately. I've even heard that it's good for you to eat a piece of dark chocolate, as long as you don't eat too much of course.

Yes chocolate has never been an addiction for me. I don't think Belgium have the best chocolate but then when is the last time I tasted a bit. I don't normally eat Belgium chocolate. I like lint and galaxy a lot. I only gave it up for that long because it is lent and it shows I can give up something I love for a long while. Like Jesus did.

Chcoolate definitely is an addiction to a lot of people, I'm one of them. Eating one is all it takes, then I can't stop picking up another one until my stomach gets sick... I try not to buy candies when I'm at the store so I won't lose control when I go home with the chocolate.

This isn't really like me at all. I just buy a bit and that's it. I eat it and than that's all I have for the day.

I am so addicted to chocolate, it just don't eat whenever my parents bring me some chocolates whenever they come back home from the US, but i literally crave and sometimes buy. I also ask chocolates from my relatives in Japan to send me some because chocolates here in the PI are very expensive. I can finish a big bar a day. My friends would even be shocked on the amount of chocolate I could consume a day. I dont care, I just love em'.

Yes. Chocolate is really nice but just remember how you stop yourself. All you do is tell yourself to stop and you will.

I se chocolate as un undeniable treat at times. i don't see it as an addiction. I think chocolate could be considered an addiction for someone if having that chocloate went against their own nature to obtain,

Chocolates contain caffeine but in a very small amount, way different from what coffee and tea have. I dont thik it can cause addiction but obsession maybe it does. lol I love chocolates especially this time that I am pregnant.

I don't think chocolate can be an addiction, I think the sugar in the chocolate what drives people craving for chocolate or somewhat make them addicted to it. I know most of us have sweet tooth, and that what makes us craving for something sweet. heheh Also If you think about a chocolate without the sugar present it will be just a plane old dark chocolate with a bitter taste to it, and I know most people don't like that taste with a bitter side on it. hehehe But still sometime chocolate can be a bit addicting. ^ ^

Uh ya plain old discusting dark chocolate I've never been addicted to chocolate but there are some people who claim they are like my old French teachers who had to be hipnotised 2 times and still didn't work. Ah well that I can't have it until the 24 of April.

Well, I don't know if it can be considered as an addiction, but I noticed that when I am in stress, nervios or anxious, then I need to eat chocolate. Doing so, I feel that's easier for me to control those situations. Also, I listened that when women become their menstruation, they also eat more chocolate during those days.

Chocolates are heavenly but I don't really have the addiction for that. Even though there I have eaten tons of it, it's not really that addictive.
