Lately, I noticed that not many people actually wear watch anymore, especially younger generation pool. We all have these car clock, cell phone, and computer with time, why do we need a watch for? For older generation, like my parents, they would wear watch all the time, it is part of their daily habit already. So, I guess, the watch business wasn't so good at these years, unless those watch makers come up something new to attract the new generation pool. Like those James Bonds high - tech watch, something cool that would attract us to purchase one at least, what do you think?

hi there.
i don't anymore. but i used to, everyday when i go to school. and just abut 2 months ago, my favorite watch stopped working. it's probably just out of batteries. it's my favorite because my boyfriend's mom gave it to me as a graduation gift. it never gave me a rash, because i would usually get a rash from wearing a watch.

Wearing a watch used to be my habit when I go out. I stopped wearing a watch since I have had my baby, I think it is because I just had too much to take care of and I didn't even think about putting any accessories on when going out, I mostly diodn't go out when he was newborn unless for food shopping, just wanted to go and run home due to the frequent feeding for my baby. And now, I just don't wear a watch anymore. I use my phone as a watch.

I also notice such a trend but a lot of people still prefer wearing a watch because they treat it as something luxury like the car or jewellery, especially for man. Watch is sometimes better than the timer on cell phone, computer or the one in the car because a good quality watch is always more accurate than any of these timer and it lasts for longer as well. Under certain situation, such as swimming, you won't be able to take your laptop or cell phone with you because they will be damaged when in contact water but a waterproof watch can help you to notice the time and take a record of the time during your sports practice. Therefore, watches are still very important in our everyday life and the watch will still be a very popular product as long as the watch industry continue with better design for the watches.

I like watches and have one but I don't seem to wear it that often. I often tell myself I need to wear it but for some reason I don't. Maybe because since it's not waterproof I feel it's a hassle, and I use my phone. My phone shows me the time so that's probably why i don't wear it.

What is that? I've actually forgotton what a watch is! I have not worn one in so many years and it would suddenly seem strange to wear one now. There are so many different ways that we can check the time now from our ipods to our mobile phones and so forth. I think wearing a watch is probably for decorative purposes now! They weigh your wrist down as well and I'm pretty sure that it's uncomfortable at times.
I think the days of wearing a watch are disappearing into history now! I class it as a waste of money and I certainly won't be purchasing one anytime soon! Andrew

I do wear watch everyday, maybe I just belong to the old generation. I need to check the time at work to determine if I can do one more work before it's time up and if I can just response on several more discussions before the internet line is turned off.

That is a good question! I'd like to say you have a good perspection. You observed that different generation take different attitudes towards watch. But young generation sometimes also wear watches in certain occassions. So, it depends. In general, the older generations are tend to wear watches more than young generations.

I'm 18 years old and I wear my watch every time I go out. At home I never wear it cause the time is on the computer and tv box so I never need it. Especially when I'm at work, or was at high school I wore it every single day. I forgot it one or two times throughout the school year last year, and I felt lost all day lol. No one else seemed to wear one though so I see what you mean. Even at my job when I work with older people, their always asking me for the time. "Lucy, time?" lol

I am wearing watch all the time I am not comfortable without it in my wrist, and not wearing different kinds. Its better not to wear jewelry such as bangles and bracelets as long as I have my watch.

Yeah, different generations have different preferences. I am wearing a watch all the time, my preferred brand too, Seiko. My parents don't like wearing watches, instead they carry pocket watches. That's another generation. And, they have their preferred brands too.

I don't wear a watch. I used to try to when I was younger but never could keep them running. Thought they were faulty at first but it is just my body chemistry I guess. I have tried pendant watches too and get the same reaction. I carry a watch in my purse. The one in my car doesn't work so I am without time unless the one in my purse holds out.

Those days of wearing watches is gone. I too don't wear a watch anymore because I could just look at the time on my cellphone and basically I'm ok with it because I know the time just by looking at my phone. In todays generation most young people stare at their cellular phones most of the day day, all day long. Most cellphones have a time in it, thats why most people now a days don't need watches anymore, because all you need is already inside your cellphone.
