I love Coffee! There is something special about the smell of coffee. It is so comforting to me and relaxing. I brew my own coffee and I love it so much that I drink lots and lots of it during a day. It used to make me sleepy and I could drink coffee just before I went to bed and still sleep like a baby. Lately I found that I can't drink as much coffee anymore. My heart makes little jumps and I can't sleep anymore if I drink coffee before I go to bed.- So I thought of resolving to decaf but this did not go so well. I don't like the taste of decaf. Has anyone similar experiences with coffee?-

Hallo Professor, While I still like coffee, I can relate to tea as well. While working for an English Company I have learned to like tea as well. They drink tea which is as strong as coffee with a lot of milk.- Being all adventurous, I would like to try tea granules (does this have a special name? Here in the US I have never seen tea granules) in thick milk ( is thick milk boiled for a long time to get thick or is it just whole milk with all the fat content milk naturally has?). As for the sugar. I am not diabetic but I love stevia in herbal teas, which happens to be a good sugar substitute for diabetics as well, if you like its slight licorice taste. Hope to hear from you Lakshmi

Dear Professor, Thank you so much for the response on how to make your kind of tea.- I once had a talk with a person from South America and he told me that his family would boil milk sometimes the whole day, until all the water had evaporated.-This is how I thought that you make thick milk.- No, I am not from India. But I don't think in terms of nationality any more. I feel connected to everyone.- Have a great day!

Meyrek, I think that it is a miracle that the smell of coffee is just as invigorating as the coffee itself. When I was a kid, I used to think that coffee had such a bitter taste and I would never love it. But now I love bitter things including black bitter chocolate and coffee.

I am a coffee addict too, for years, drinking atleast 4 or 5 cups a day starting from breakfast time. Yes, I had the same heat problem like you, palpitation. So, I started reducing the strength, and more recently changed to decaf. That is much better than drinking strong regular coffee.

I enjoy coffee. I typically drink it hot in the winter and cold in the summer. I actually enjoy the smell of coffee a lot more than the taste though. Nothing better than the smell of coffee beans - YUM! Love it!!

Hi lakshmi: First of all I love coffee too. It's one of my favorite beverage and it helps me to start my day. When I first started drinking decaf coffee I feel different and I preffer the normal coffee but as time goes and you keep drinking it you start liking its flavour too. Now I like them both. And decaf coffee is better for your help so don't worry, you'll start loving it if you make an effort. ALVARO

I think you were very young when you consumed coffee prior to sleeping.I always have coffee after breakfast and perks me up.Coffee is more a stimulant so you'll find it difficult to sleep after it.Better have it in the daytime.

i do love the smell of a coffee, but i don't drink coffee, it has a negative effect on me my heart keeps on palpitating everytime i drink even a bit sip, maybe you drink it too much that's why you feel nervous all the time coffee contains caffeine that strengthens your alertness towards everything
