Abuse on Women

I cant cut and paste yet so you have to take my word for this. I have recently read about attacks on women because they are successful. Two of them were splashed with acid when walking towards their car.
I feel so so angry. What are we going to do about these sort of thinking? Or what can we do if we get our hands on them?
The article did not state what gender the attackers were but I assume they are men. I have two daughters and if any of this happens to them, hell hath no fury!!!

Hi momof3kids
Hey, it is not only the successful women who get acids thrown onto their face... There are many in India who are suffering just because of some guys who believed that they loved the girl
The people who do such kind of acts deserve a much harsher punishment but our laws fail... we speak of democracy, rights and blah blah blah but never issue out harsher punishments for people who are into such bitter crimes...
The newer world says it is the people who are psychologically challeneged but I fail to see what kind of psychology they speak about. If I had my way to treat them... it would be dipping these criminals into acids part by part...

Hi thesids
Thanks for responding to my post yet again.
It seems that it takes very little to 'anger' these attackers. I wonder why they are capable of attacking women. Both genders have to live side by side. Dont they see their mothers as women too?
That would be a suitable punishment, dipping their parts one at a time.

I would wonder if it was a gang initiation. In our area we had a gang that the newbies had to beat up an old woman to be initiated into their gand. A woman I worked with was nearly assaulted. If it hadn't been for a with it store clerk who saw the perpetrator getting in the back seat of the ladie's car. He alerted the woman and called authorities. Yes, hell hath no fury!

Hi celticeagle
Thanks for responding. Your post makes me want to be a vigilante. I would create a counter gang to attack the families of the gang or the gang itself who started the initiation. Imagine being attacked because of an initiation.

You have to be aware and keep your eyes open at all times. You don't take anything for granted. Not now days. I am glad I was able to open your eyes to be vigilante.

Acid burns can be really devastating for the victim. It burns right down to bone and is very difficult to correct with plastic surgery. I have found that a lot of this happens in love triangles and the perpetrator is usually female. Men will do this occasionally but I have only heard of one incident where men involved in a robbery did this to the woman after they had tied her up. Its a really terrible thing to do to anyone and is totally life changing for the victim.

Hi Carol
Thanks for responding. I appreciate that you are the second person to remind me that women can also be terribly mean. I hope I can never be that mean. I just wonder how people can sleep at all after doing such a thing to another person.
But I am not going to promise anything. If any of my children becomes a victim of such cowardice, I might just find the most deadliest acid. God forbid that I should raise such vengeful children too.

Unfortunately since the beginning of time, men have considered a place for women.
When women excel, then men are afraid they are taking their jobs.
Even though they have more chances than us, I remember when even in the US it was not meant for a woman to leave the house.
We were to have children and keep the house clean.
I went in the Army. I took my position in a mans world but made sure I kept within a woman's job (medical)
I was offered a different job since I had excelled in one area on the ASVAB test.
But I had worked as a nurses aide since I was 15 and continued in the medical field.
Once in the Army I found a lot of women did much harder positions than the men, and worked a lot harder.
Naturally we had to prove ourselves, but I also heard a lot of time I am here for the money not the job.
Today, across the world, its still basically the same.
Although women in America have come a long way, our sisters across the seas have not been as fortunate.
Religion, men's beliefs, and strict rules of cultures still assess a woman's rules and values in her life.
I certainly hope no harm ever comes to your girls!

Hello Marie thanks for responding.
I do not know where or how men get that way. When I was growing up (I have no brothers) my parents treated us no different from a boy. They gave us everything they can afford when it comes to education.
Now I cannot thank them enough for doing that. My father never crave for a boy. He loves all of us for being girls and we love him for that. Each of us grew up very confident and never was intimidated by a man.
It doesnt matter how the world treats women. When we are confident ourselves to me thats justice enough. For example sometime ago in Afganistan, I read in the news that girls were abused for going to school but the article continued to say that the same girls continued going to school no matter what.

Hi ashish3090
Thanks for responding. Would hanging them upside down kill them? I would like to taunt them first and see them suffer.

There are a lot of cases where the victims are women or children, and its sickening to learn that every time it happens the victims life has been ruined and the culprit remains at large. Its better for a women to learn the art of self defense so that she can defend herself and the proper dissemination of information materials on what to do if you are alone and how to handle an attacker. Its about time that we women learns to fight back and defends our right.

Hi ellanick
Thanks for responding. I agree with you like a 1000% (if theres such a thing). But the attackers took the most cowardly way to attack which is to throw acid which no self defence can avoid.
But you are again 1000% right about we women learning to fight back and defending our rights. To me, we should catch the attackers ourselves and punish them in ways that any man would ever think to do any harm to innocent women and children.

Hi there Mm of 3 kids!
Yes, I have seen a documentary about using acid by throwing them to women's faces. forgot what country that documentary was about. There was an instance wherein there were sisters who were just sleeping inside their home and some men came inside and threw acid on their faces. There was also another incident wherein a woman rejected a man's proposal and one day, in front of the church, he passed by and threw acid on her face. It was reported by a local newscaster, Miss Connie Sison, if I remember right. There is actually a part of the hospital that is exclusively for victims burned with acid. The most pitiful one was with a child. Her father wants a son so bad and when he had a daughter instead, he made her drink acid.

Hi nanayangel
Thanks for responding. I almost forgot to thank you for responding as I was getting angry when I read your post.
If I have the power, what i will do is to follow up the stories on the ones attacked and the attackers. What i want to see is that the attackees become successful despite what happened and the attackers fail in life even if they were not caught.
What a father. I hope he has nightmares about his actions every single night.

I am with you on this one. Why should a criminal be allowed to walk away Scott free after harming innocent women. It is so sad but sometimes it happens and even in the justice system they are allowed to walk like and yet the victims, in my opinion are then double victimized.
I am not usually a fighter but as you hell would break loose.

Hi hardworkinggurl
Thanks for responding. In this case if they are freed, I would like to see how they fare in life itself. I do believe in justice spiritually so my comfort is to see their failure to cope with life..ha hah haha ha!!

Perhaps the attackers or the masterminds behind the crime are jealous of the victims. Maybe they want to make the life of the successful women miserable because they are not experiencing such success. However, it could be that the victims have stepped on other peoples' lives that was why they became successful. Thus, as a form of revenge, they did such thing to the successful women. There is always two sides of a story. We just do not know which is true and which is not.

Hi areshstarfreak
Thanks for responding. As much as I want to disagree with you, I do see your point of view. There are women who drive people crazy too.
For those sort of women I must admit I feel no sadness for them but my intention is to condemn the attackers if the women are innocent.
You do make me see the other side of the story. Thank you for that. I will take this to be a better mom to my son and daughters.
