I have been taking large doses of Vitamin C in the form of sodium ascorbate. It somehow supplements the daily food that I ingest and helps in the cellular metabolism of our body.
Although an array of nutritional supplements can now be accessed easily as an over-the-counter drugs, I have read that consuming Vitamin C daily will fight the radicals in our body.

I quit taking viatamin supplements (except for calcium and viatamin D) and paid more attention to eating more servings of raw and cooked veggies. It seems that we use natural vitamins in a better way when in food than in pills. I read that last year in a scientific paper.

eating fresh vegies is good to our health, if it's organic, vitamins are good too.. they said CENTRUM has 26 vitamins (from A-Zinc), is it complete? my answer is NO, I can prove it,, search this unique supplement C24/7 Natura-Ceutical made by Natures Way from USA.. but exclusiive distribution in the Philippines by AIM Global Inc.. it's a unique supplement with 22,0000 pythonutrients all in one v-caps..yes it's v-caps meaning, its capsule is made of vegetable..not synthetic, c24/7 is proven effective in all kind of sickness and diseases, this is also prevetion and protection to our body.. Now on it's 5th year, and still #1 supplement here in the Philippines, expanding worldwide.. btw, we have a new bco in hawaii.. you can purchase the stuff and get 25% discount by using my ID# EA093081.. :)

Thanks for the tip, but I´ll stick to my veggies. Just this last Spring I made some raised beds to grow my own.

Good morning. Megadoses of Vitamin supplements, be they Vitamin C or other should always be used with caution!
Yes, studies show (Search the Web, Dr. Linus Pauling) Vitamin C is a powerful anti-oxidant, increases interferon and T-Cell production...but high doses can cause diarrhea (eliminating other beneficial vitamins)and reduce calcium in the body!
So, rather than the synthetic form (pills)...WHY NOT use whole foods such as; parsley, dandelion greens, green pepper, broccoli, or mustard greens OR herbs such as Garlic, fennel, goldenseal and Kelp. Natural supplements that your body finds easier to assimilate! Your body responds best when treated gently!
I suggest you research segretating your Vitamins, and taking high doses!

I take multivitamin tablets every day, one capsule after lunch. That keeps me healthy and refreshed. I do take vitamin C tablets once in a while, especially when I have a cold, and start sneezing. Taking a vitamin C tablet stops sneezing in a few minutes. Works very well.

I've heard that Vitamin C in the form of Sodium Ascorbate is indeed good for our health. It strengthens our immune system. May I know what particular brand of Sodium Ascorbate are you taking?

I take Vitamin C daily. But not "large doses".
I just take Centrum, says it complete from A to Zinc. And I also eat lots of fruit to absorb Vitamin C
