three couples and their families went out last night and just hang out at jollibee. we chose jollibee because the food is cheap and there is a playplace for the kids. of course our conversation was always interrupted whenever we need to tend to out kiddos but at least we were able to spend time and just talk and share about our problems. it was a good bonding time. we do this to foster our relationship and building a stronger friendship.
we also do these because we want our children to grow as good friends. i have a two year old, the other couple has another two year old, while the other couple has a five year old and a few months old baby.
we all met in church and just hit it off. we hope to be able to do this again soon. we were doing this almost every wednsday last year but when one of us gave birth our family nights out were sort of interrupted. but we hope to resume doing this and have our bible study, too. this is just our bonding moment and is not a formal ministry in our church.
do have such a group too?

We have a bible study group before and that is happening during Monday night. My parents had forced me to join the bible study which it didn't help me to enlighten but then I know I am not yet matured enough to join it because I believe I could decide it on my own if in case I really want to join the bible study.

Does the church pay for what you eat at jollibee or you have to pay it yourself?
My family and I usually have bonding time but we dont go to places like jollibee anymore. We just stay at home and cook delicious dinner and have fun eating the varieties of food we have on the table.

Having families'(including close friends)night is such a great idea, I think we should all adopt your idea. This maybe just the kind of positive engagements our children should be exposed to, this way they will begin to understand the true quality of life and how to associate with others. I like the idea so much that I am going to see if a few of my friends would like to start having family night out, not couple can come without their child or children; that would be couples night out.
