Ever worked or went of college even if you were having fever or ill health.

Once in my life I had to go to my school to take my exams when I was having a fever. My condition was bad and I had no other option. If I missed that exam then I had to repeat that full year in that very same class. In order to save my year, I did go to school in fever and took that exam and I cleared it very well. After that time, I have never gone to office or college during my illness. Health comes first, rest things comes afterward. Sometime when I took leave from my previous office, they used to call me stating that there is an urgent project and I must go to the office at least for a few hours otherwise this will happen, that will happen. I simply denied at that time stating that my parents are not allowing me to go to office in illness and I am sorry I cannot come. It is true that there are some disease like viral which only needs rest. There is no cure or medicine for it. If proper rest is not taken, the condition becomes worse and then there will be more leaves, so better take rest when needed, health is first.

When I was young I really don't like missing my class. Even when I was in college, I barely get absent for being sick. At work, when I don't feel well I don't go to work. I just inform my manager through SMS that I don't feel well and that I will be on sick leave. Sometimes, if I am really lazy I just don't go to work.

Many times I have went to work not feeling good with a Migraine headache, fever, chills, cough, etc. There have been days that I might have left early because I felt worse after getting there, but anymore we need the $$ so I have been going to work no matter how I feel, and since my boss has this "I will write you up if you do not show up without a Doctor's note attitude, it gives most people no choice but to come in sick everyday and pass it on to everyone else."

Hi there Shamrack! Yes, I remember that I did that just recently. The Aklan Collegian staffers, Aklan Collegian is our college's magazine, left school for the Philippine Information Agency College Press Conference and Awards. We had to be absent from our classes for three days. We missed a lot so when we came back, even though I was sick, I still went to school to catch up with the lessons and take special exams.

I remember one time in college, I went to school even I have fever and tonsillitis because it was our final examination day. Though I can be give a special exam should I did not go to school on that day, I still prefer to do so because I hate it when I have to talk to the teachers about when to schedule my special exam.
