Education is what you need to be successful? I don't think so.

As you probably notice. Almost everyone in the world is currently following the
"The smarter you are, the better your life will be" along with
"The more you study, the more successful you will be" resulting in
"The more you study, the smarter you will be and the more successful and better you life will be as well"
However, I think this kind of teaching is absolutely wrong.
To me, "Smart people are all the same, creative people are different"
which mean that
you can have as many smart people you want. However, smart people without idea are just smart people. Most of these ended up being an employee working with low pay or having to study half of their lives just to earn alot of money. However, by the time you earn enough, you will probably be 50 or 60. By then, you won't have enough energy to enjoy your life.
On the other hand, creative people who sells new idea to the world is the one who will most likely be successful. There are many great examples around.
For example, Google owner. They dropped out but they manage to become rich. Why? It's because instead of wasting their time trying to be super smart as an employee that every employer wants, they decided to think like an employer and decide to sell ideas instead.
Another example is Mark's Facebook. He didn't finish school as well but he's super rich! Why? Because he sells IDEA aka Facebook instead or working.
What is your opinion on this? I'm on the the creative side over the education side. I prefer to be a creative employer instead of a smart employee or an employer with no idea. Making almost a million per month is more preferable than studying for half of your life to make a couple of thousands per month.

i agree that there is some truth to what you're saying. also, i've noted that smart people often over-think a business idea. there are always reasons why something won't work and if you think long enough, you'll find that reason. some business people i know, respectfully, didn't know that what they're trying couldn't work, went ahead, and made it work.

The power of experience will beat education anytime when it comes to business.

It's not always true. There are a lot of people here in our country who graduated at exclusive schools but still can't find a job. But some companies have the undergraduates climbing the corporate ladder. Some are born rich in an instant because of their families businesses. Some just by luck win the lottery. Being successful really depends on your ability to cope up with the world. It's how you use your skills to have a better life.

Well, life is like a gamble. Are you willing to risk high and earn big?
Education is like a Low risk low reward
Idea is like a high rish high reward
A balance between education and idea is a moderate rish high reward
but overemphasizing on one part
and you get a high risk low reward.

I agree with you. It seems that formal education is focused on getting a job, and working for someone else. I find this appalling. AS you say most of those who get ahead are working for themselves. There needs to be more focus in school towards cooperation, rather than competition. Everything that is worth doing (except football and hockey) is accomplished using cooperation and creativity!

I agree with you that "education" as we know it does not "make the man". In the first instance, at least in America, we do not get a worthwhile "education" in our "schools", just political intoctrination and horrific ignorance.
What matters, bottom line, is not money, though, indeed many dropouts can do quite well financially, thus belying the "party line" that education will make you rich, which only links human greed to the education status quo. It is WISDOM that makes one rich, spiritually and financially. Wisdom is the link to all creativity, which comes from the Creater of wisdom, God. All creativity also comes from Him.
Wisdom, rather than "head" knowledge, comes directly from a moral base. Most of what is fed to our poor innocent children in the public school arena is pure garbage and immoral, amoral, and anything but academic. They are taught NEVER to think for themselves (creativity), but to regurgitate the garbage they are fed.
It's a pathetic state of affairs.

I most certainly agree with you, but also disagree. If you are really passionate about something and want to do it proffesionaly, education may come into play but probably not. On the other hand, a good education would leave less risks in your life.
