Anyone doing Mystery Shopping here? I've been doing it for about 3-4 years and its great way to make money. You can actually do this full time and not have to worry about having another job. They do pay a lot and you get free stuff/ free food etc. Anyone want to join let me know.. I am working for about 10 different companies... This is not for referrals or anything, just trying to help out other lotters :-) Cheers

Hi! Is mystery shopping international? Is there any specific regions/countries by which it could only be done?

I believe they do have it international. I do get some shops that are in bahama's or something. BUT i'm not too sure.

Do you think they have it here in the middle east? :)

I used to do Mystery Shopping but then the gas prices went birzerk and I gave up. I actually enjoyed Mystery Shopping the only draw back that I found was writing the lengthy reports and projects where you were asked to purchase something because sometimes you don't like anything at a particular store and end up collecting stuff. But non-the-less it's a good money making work.

Well the reports might be lenghty for some stuff but its worth it. I've gotten used to denying shops that have lenghty reports :-) I just do the ones I want. Plus nowadays they are offering money for gas since they know that the gas prices are high. IF you tell them that the place is far and gas is too high, they compensate more for that.

Team Leader eh? I'm not sure what that invovles. I'm not anywhere close to that since I hardly do the shops. Just here and there, but If I was to do this full time, I think I could very successful. Its fun to do some shops. I have even done apartment shopping with undercover video equipment which was great. They paid me $50 for one shop, just had to go look for an apartment :-)

May be I should go back and try, I am always getting emails from them and quit at the time when they were planning to make me a team leader. I guess I'll think about it because I am continually getting their emails to come back and that they will make me the team leader. Wonder how much work team leading involves? But sure was fun, especially when my daughter was young and I was buying stuff for her.

Hi there and welcome to myLot. I have done a couple of Mystery Shops over the years. They are pretty fun. Lately, I've gotten away from it; probably because of concentrating on other things. I may reconsider it after reading your post since I do receive email invitations for shops all the time. Thank you for re-introducing the opportunity.

That's very good. There are many people, not just here on myLot but all over the net, that are looking for ways to earn a little extra income. It's always nice to know for sure that there are real, legit and oh yes, fun ways to do so.

hello kinjalk! it's nice to know that you can really earn doing that kind of mystery shopping. i wonder how do you do that? do you actually go to groceries or other food chains to be a mystery shopper? Sorry, but i really have no idea how that thing goes. Anyways, I have heard that kind of thing on internet but i never read them. Would you mind tell me how you earn from them? Thanks...

Thats not a problem at all. Yes you do actually have to make those visits. You have to evaluate how the employees treat you, their knowledge of certains things etc. This is face to face interaction. They pay you differently for different shops. Some shops they dont pay you but reimburse you like, Oil change, Restaurants, Car repair. So you can get all these stuff and they will pay you back. Some shops they pay you, like yesterday I had to go shop for a TV. I was there for $15 mins, came home filled out he questionaire and they approved it. I get paid $7 for it. I have to do some shops on the phone today. Call sports team and ask about seasons tickets, they will pay me $7 for each of those as well...

$7 was just for ONE shop. I did some phone calls and they paid me $7 EACH for them. So it all adds up. I made 3 calls on Friday and I got paid $21 for them. :-). I have to make some more calls today and they are paying $10 for each. So it all adds up.

Oh well, that's a great help for anyone. I mean, you can't see 7 dollars on the street every second of your life right? I just hope there's a something like that also in our area. But I haven't found out yet if there's any. May I ask how many shops you went and earn 7 dollars a day? It's quite a mystery to me...

They go to certain place like fast food or malls or where ever they have the shop and evaluate the customer service by the employees. Then you fill out a questionaire and send it back and thats it. Its very simple and Fun

Definitely, I do it only when I have some time. I try to do shops during the weekend, when I'm not too busy. They even have some shops that you do over the phone. I have to do 3 today just calling different places and evaluating their customer service over the phone. DO NOT have to go anywhere. If you interested, add me as your friend, and I will email you the list of sites. THey are all free to join. Thank You

There is no set amount.. Every job has different amount.. And it all depends on how much you would be doing it.. ME i only do it when I have time, so sometimes on weekends and stuff..IF you do it full time, you wont need a full time job. This could be it. Like I said different shops have different amount, let say for Five Guys Fast Food they might not pay you but they will reimburse you for your meal, OR for oil change they will get you free oil change. You can get your brakes checked for free and they would pay you $12. I had a shop today at HHGREG, shopping for a television. It took me 15mins and they are paying me $7.

Hi Good morning, I do familiar with mystery shopper's job, when I still working in the bank, our head office hired "mystery shoppers" they go and visit branches see to it if the employee implementing or doing their job well, especially the mastery of employee's job specifications and the products and services of the bank, even on how to handle calls, how you can greet clients so on and so on. Mystery shoppers visit the branch act as valued client so we, bank employee did not even have a hint that the one we are talking with is mystery shoppers. We just know it once the result forwarded to us have certificate of commendation for the job well done.

I just got excited reading your topic. I have been wondering about this but never really looked into it. I am definitely interested in doing this. This might be a dumb question but is this on the internet or do you go to stores? Let me know some information when you get a chance!

This one you actually have to go to the store. They have different shops for fast food, restaurants, malls, everything. They even have shops where you have to go to the gym, car dealership etc. It is very neat, you just go and follow the instructions for the shop and fill out a questionaire afterwards. Once you submit it you get paid. :-)
