Do you find it difficult to drive with the heels?

I found it difficult. I like wear the small heels so I feel strange when I step on the pedals, I almost missed stepping on it, one time, I actually took it off and drove with my bare feet... now I would bring a sneakers to change for driving.
I think wearing sneakers is the most comfortable for driving, no flip flops or high heels shoes.
What do you think?

Yeah it is a bit uncomfortable while driving with heels. While doing so I find we have to adapt and change our peddling style because it somehow gets in the way.
My cousin on time was driving with flip flops and one of them got caught on the peddle and try to maneuver trying to get it back on and she plowed into a school yard and hurt 3 children.
So most definitely it is more comfortable to wear gym shoes, instead of heels. By the way I remember removing mine a few times too because of the discomfort.

Thank you binggaling
Oh yes my neck and left shoulder was really sore for well over five weeks, I had to take doctors prescribed pain medication and wear a neck brace for a while.
My lower back was sore but the sore there healed rather quickly. The driver jumped out of his van and left running on foot. To find later that the van was not his and the owner was an illegal immigrant. So I never recovered the medical bills but fortunately I had full coverage insurance for my car that covered about 75% of my medical care.

That's scary... I won't wear heels to drive anymore. I would rather be safe, bring shoes to change is not a big deal.

Yes I can not drive in heels at all!! They get stuck under the peddle and I found it is not safe to drive in them at all, so I will take a pair of flip flops or tennie shoes as an extra pair in the car then when I get to work I will change them and change them on the way home.

I also don't like flip flops very much when driving, better than the heels though, still prefer sneakers.

I have never really had to have this problem. i have very small feet so i was never much for finding high heeled shoes to wear in my size. I can see how wearing high heels and driving could be quite a problem. It is just one i bever had to deal with.

Maybe you get used to it but I'm not, I don't feel comfy with it when driving.

I don't like to wear heels while driving either. I think it would be a good idea to have an extra pair of slip-on shoes that are comfortable sitting in the car for days when wearing heels. I know it's an extra step, but I find that driving barefoot makes my foot ache when I have a long way to drive. Also, I heard once that there is a law where I live that makes driving barefooted illegal. Though I haven't had a chance to find out if it was true or not.
I also prefer to drive with sneakers.

hello ivy,
Better have a sneaker ready and available on your car.
I took off my high heeled shoes (which is my usual footwear/high heeled)and slip on sneaker while on pedals, then changed and put on my high heels when i get down (hehehe)
Or sometimes,i find it more comfortable barefoot
have a good day

I thuoght it was weird when I drove with my barefeet of that time when I was wearing my heels as I mentioned in my discussion, I fel like my feet will get realyl hurt if I got into an accident without any protection on it so I won't do dirinv giwth heels or barefeet again.

I wear ordinary shoes like jogging and walking shoes, no high heels. I think a driver has a responsibility to have suitable shoes for driving safely. You should have shoes which is appropriate for safe driving.
