I watched AI last night, and week after week, Thia's performance comes out not as well as I'd want it to be. Filipinos the world over are proud of her, but with those kinds of performances, she might not make it. Last night, when she sang Daniel and dedicated it to her older brother, I felt, awww... And absolutely loved that she still calls him "kuya". For those not in the know, "kuya" is what you call your big brother. I don't have one, and always wondered what it is to have a big brother.

I wasn't able to watch American Idol, I just heard from the news that Thia had been eliminated. So sad for Filipino people. Anyway, it is good to know that her parents have instilled Filipino values to Thia and that he calls his big brother the Filipino way, it is indeed a sign of respect to our elders.

Sadly, yes, she's out of AI. And, yes, she did call out to her kuya like that. Kudos to her parents, right? I wish all Filipinos going abroad would do that. Lots of them don't. Sadly.

Just like my wife she never forgets the time.we usually take our dinner early so she can watch AI.Yeah, we have to be proud because another (kababayan) was given the chance to show what Filipinos got.One good thing about them, they don't forget their roots.

That's right. Although she's been voted off already, I will remember her. She said she was proud to be a Filipino.

2 Thumbs up to her parents, too! I've always thought that kids of Filipinos, who are born and raised abroad, are not really Filipinos, because of the difference in the culture, but, things like these happen and, yes, I stand corrected.
