I was asked once when talking to a person about the world's problems, 'why do you care?' like it was something I could choose NOT to do. She went on to say, if it doesn't affect me, I don't think about it. How sad.
What do you care enough about to sacrifice yourself for? Listen to the song, and think about it. Do you care about others enough to sacrifice your time, your energy, your life?

I can answer that without even listening to the song. My answer is most definitely a BI6. resounding, YES!

The song's great by the way...take a listen.
It would take great love to do so. Can you say that about a stranger? It might be easy for someone you love, but a stranger?

Yes, I can say that I care about strangers as well, because I've helped strangers before, and by strangers I mean friends that I have online but had never met personally. Also, I'm by nature a giver.

I've always loved the song, Gotta Serve Somebody by Dylan. Who btw...is one of my favorites of all time! I like how you put a modern day twist to it.
Jerusalemfolk, the song I posted is not to blame for the politics of those singing it. Is it?
I am aware of how Israel is treated despite their good worksin places like Haiti. It grieves me and even makes me angry. If you allow that treatment to cause you bitterness, God is not glorified. And after all, it is HIS glorification that we were made for. Is it not? Rejoice and be glad!

I am not surprise to hear that, though...There are still some kind of people around the world that behave like that...Being negligent over the world's issues that can affect her life is simply irresponsible...Maybe she will only care about it if it happens to her, disastrously...
Nevertheless, I believe that peace is something that we must conserve and preserve for the next generations...I don't think many people nowadays care enough about other people to sacrifice their time, energy, and life to help others...Personally I care about others, but frankly I don't have the spirit to realize that... It needs someone special to do that, and when that time comes we need to show our spirit and act accordingly...
Quoted from Betty Williams: Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change the world...Indeed it is the only thing that ever has...

I think that quote you shared is used in the video. Was she an Irish mother who organized marches to end the 'troubles'?

I saw the quotes on the video and until then didn't know of her. I posted the song for it's message within the lyrics. Not intended as a political statement, but a social one.

Indeed it is the quote used in the video...I thought it was the reason you asked us to watch that video ...Nevertheless, I think she is...Thanks for the very good information and motivation!

The love of money has been singled out as the root of evil. I think the root of all evil is pride.
Money does make people forget their humanity, doesn't it?

well the only way to solve problem in this time is with money we could feed the world but why dont we do it. because if we do we end up poor and gain nothing from it becasue the rich love money and the power that comes with it.
