Not too long ago a few of my housemates friends told me about a documentary movie/series titled Zeitgeist. Now, I've never really been a highly religious man or child for that matter. I have no objections to the qualities of religion, I simply believe in a better way to deal with life. I suggest if you are highly religious and are not ready to hear a factual argument explaining religion as an economic guidance program for the monetary system, then read no further, but what Zeitgeist has to say; WILL affect you somehow. The documentary is split over currently 3 movie length films in which you will learn how the monetary system(money) works and exactly how money is made... Believe me, you'll be picking your jaw off the floor shortly after. It delves into the economic system and how 'peace' is kept... Still think Saddam Hussein was the terrible tyrant he was portrayed? Think again... You'll learn about Economic hit men and how they brought countries to their knees. You can find these videos through a youtube search of 'Zeitgeist'. Open your mind!

It may teach you a lot about how the world REALLY works and how the monetary system works, but that's as far into economics as it goes. Zeitgeist is more there to open your mind and show you what the government has been trying to keep from us. But I know you will learn something from it!

I've watched all the Zeigeist movies recently and found them quite interesting. Regarding religion they didn't change my point of view since I'm an atheist but the whole "God's Son" theory was well founded. As for the rest, well the idea that money is the root of all evil isn't original and although I agree with the whole Zeitgeist movement I think it could proove rather difficult to find the needed supporters worldwide so that it can have an impact. Unfortunately, people are usually not open to drastic changes in their life.
