Migrant workers

It's a very difficult life, I feel for them. It's not only hard enough to be away from family, real friends, sometimes even kids but to be theated differently when you are away is very sad.

For me I don't want that country i would prefer to Canada.

hi maximax, you right in some places the migrant workers will have lot of troubles with the owners or where they are working,but the salary also very very less,for that less money people are doing working for less salary due to lack of knowledge or lack of employment in their countries,have a nice day

I think it must be very hard and I can not imagine how terrible it must be. Migrant workers are often taken advantage of because companies know their desperation. I have studied the migrant worker accommodations and they are terrible for the most part. They are also usually set far away from the places the work. Wouldn't want the customers to see these things. It's sad.

hi there it is the same with my countrymen. they go to other countries to work because of poverty here in our country. they work very hard just to be able to send money to the family. but besides the low pay, some of them are beaten by their employers but the don't give up just so they can give their children a better life back here. it is so sad but they have no choice. they need to survive.

Hi maximax8, Iam in china ,kind of different places in china are migrant workers,they work very hard,low wages, but also look down on others.

It really ranges in my country, the USA, as you know, is huge and situations vary a lot. The apple pickers from Jamaica here, I'm not sure how much they make since their air fare is paid for to get here as well as their passports. They do stay in shacks. But when I speak to them, they're always happy. They have enough money for food and to send some food and even some things back to their families. They're here legally. One fell from a tree, broke his back and became paralyzed. There was a charity day done for he and his family. Now the harnesses are better and there are back up ones that everyone must wear. Usually they don't fall off the ladders, but it can happen. But they raided a place where the immigrants were here as slaves. They either worked or got beaten. No money. Then there are reports of everthing in between.

Hi maxi, I don't know about China. I visited Thailand. There most of the workers are female. Males there are very lazy. They depend on the income of their wives. Yes migrant workers of Thailand get poor remuneration. But in India the condition is more miserable. There the daily workers get only $3 a day.

Hi maximax, It happens in India too in almost all the major cities.These are very poor villagers who come to the cities with the hope of bettering their lifestyles. But they get caught in a vicious circle living in worse conditions and not being able to go back since they have left everything that was theirs in the village.In my city there are several such migrant workers who come with their entire family seeking any job that is available and trying to make a living. Because of their condition people do take advantage of them, underpaying them and trying to get the maximum work out of them.I am not sure who is to be blamed for this situation?

Some migrants prefer to work outside their countries even with low salary due to unemployment. Here in my country,lots of my countrymen works overseas due to this unemployment problem. Low salary from other countries is better than staying here without job,or if having a job,low salary from overseas is still a bigger money compared to compensation that they will received here in our country.

In southern big cities of China,there are many such migrant workers from the rural areas.they work in different factories,and their salaries are different.some have worked there for 15 or even 20 years,now they work as technicians or managers,these migrant workers can have higher payment,it's about 3000 or 4000 yuan a month,mostly they can get reward at the end of the year if the profits of the factories are better.and if they are couple migrant workers,they will profit so well.
