My son is known to bring home the unusual from cats and dogs for pets. He has had various snakes, spiders, lizards. Recently after having her for a few years his pink toed tarantula died. (thank god)! I am not into cold and clammy things LOL But a week ago he got a pacman frog. I thought, ok I peeked at him thought cute and walked off. Last night before my son went to work I was doing the dishwasher and he was on the computer and said Hey mom come here I want you to see this. he had went on youtube and brought up videos where these things make all kinds of noises and get angry. Wow I said...so much from such a small frog! So as I said, I wont be sticking my hand in that terrarium cage anytime soon. I think I will just keep Tink and Mawmaw (cats) for my pets. Oh and I have a rat named Buddy. Anyone else have kids with strange pets? Or if you have a Pacman Frog tell me about him.

Nick and I have traveled to the exotic shows they have here in Florida. Amazing what you see different states have to sell. he has owned a ball python, a halloween boa, and another snake I cannot remember the name of. While we were at these shows someone was selling hairless rodents. While I got my first hairless rat, and some hairless mice to try to breed, there was also hairless hamsters and hairless guinea pigs. Research is very interesting on how you breed animals to come to be hairless. My hairless rat I got was a female, named her Millie. She come out of her cage every day and had morning tea with me and drank right from my cup had her about 2 years which is good for a rat. When I was a girl I was always sneaking in frogs and lizards off my grandparents farm. But until I had my son was I willing to try snakes and spiders. UGH!

I'm not into rodents, I think of them as "snake food"

Actually I think he watched way to much Steve Irwin shows LOL He amazes me when he is in the wild catching things I would never touch in my lifetime then teaching me about them. he studies in depth before he ever gets an exotic pet. He is only 21 but I have allowed him to follow his heart.
