mrbrownedeye,
I believe there's really nothing to be afraid and it would be a waste of resource trying to overly worry or rather fear these catastrophes.
Instead, we should be wary of our doings and attentive with our undoings as well. Like earthquakes, I believe you are aware that they do not occur without a reason. For one, we have ourselves to blame for the numerous extensive exploitations of mother earth's fragile nature like illegal mining, testing nuclear bombs, illegal logging, pollution, over population and many more.
On the note of war, I believe it is just inevitable as more and more people are being wary of whatever is going on in their places especially when they are being oppressed by ruthless dictators who just do not have the countries' welfare or rather their citizens in mind. It (war) is just unavoidable and not being supportive of it, I have to believe that it will help change the future of these countries. At least, for the better.
Let's hope that after the storm, there will be better days ahead and as more fortunate spectating neighbors let us remember to do our part.

I agree with the first mylotter. The bible does speak of natural disasters. It just comes along with life, is what I suppose. It is worry-some, you never know what's next. But again, its of nature is its just natural that things like this happens.

time immemorial, history just repeats itself. Also the scriptures (bible) has prophecies of how things would be with mankind.. On our part, no matter how great a nation or people we are, there would be no definite answers to the all the problems in this world... change is inevitable and with change depends our destiny... so, you're right..to learn, understand and strive to be better, and by the end of the day, let's not forget ever that there is always somebody up there watching over us and loves us!
