My opinion on music.

So I started this discussion to say my tought about music nowadays. In my mind I think that music nowadays, or at least the music listened by most people, is getting more and more commercial. People nowadays think that music is like this: a music with a good beat (made by a computer, most of them), someone singing in it always saying the same thing and that thing has no porpuse or meaning and it has to be sang by a famous artist. And some of those artists use voice changers like auto-tune. I really don't understand this kind of people. They hear the songs because they are sang by famous artists and are promoted everywhere. I don't consider this to be real music. Real music is played with instruments. Not made by computers. Of course it's still made by people, obviously, but still it's much much easier to make and so they don't really deserve the credit for them. And this artists probably don't write their own lyrics. I don't know if they do but probably not. But I really don't think that you need much imagination for these type of songs so either way, it's all the same. They suck. Hip-hop or rap are types of music that have great lyrics (sometimes), they aren't repetitive and the artists write their own music. But they lack in the instrumental part because it's always the same repetitive beat. I don't aprecciate hip-hop or rap very much because of that instrumental part. But yeah, an opinion is an opinion. I won't talk about other types of songs since these three, commercial (pop), rock/metal and hip-hop are the most viral to say the least. And because there are "hundreds" of other types of music out there. Now picture this. Compare a Rihanna concert to per example a Slipknot concert. What's the emotion and excitement of seeing just one person singing in a stage with the music being played by some kind of "black magic"? The real excitement in a concert is hearing and seeing the whole band play for us. The whole sounds being played live flawlessly by every member of the band who play cheerfully for you. Now about my opinion on music: Music to me (musics that I hear) is: - A full band, not a solo artist; - A lead guitar at least, a bass guitar and a drum set. It can have other adicional instruments like piano or trumpete but it has to have at least those initial three that I said; - A vocalist with a REAL voice! Yes, because many artists nowadays use voice changers. The most known is auto-tune, as I mentioned in the first text. I won't talk about audio quality because almost every artists don't fail in that part. And I think that's about it. I respect bands who play acoording to these "criterias". I don't like death metal and all those really hardcore artists that only scream in their songs, but I respect them because they have skills playing in real instruments and have the will to say that they play music. My type of music is just straight rock, punk rock, hard rock and most types of rock. My favorite band at the moment is Avenged Sevenfold. Their music to me is just perfect. They have one of the best instrumental I have ever heard. Inclunding many times additional instrumentals, mostly pianos and trumpetes. And their lyrics aren't always the same stuff. Their lyrics are just awesome and aren't repetitive and they actually mean something. Don't take this text wrongly, this text is just an opinion so don't take it seriously. Don't troll! =P So my question to you guys is: what type of music do you hear? Commercial ones or "real" ones? If you don't hear any of these post something anyway. You're commentarys are all aprecciated as long as they stick to the topic and aren't flaming/spamming. Very much aprecciated.
