Hi to all Filipino Mylotters,
I want to hear your opinion if what is the fastest USB plug in the PHilippines. I am in Iloilo City and using SMartbro. I stayed at 5th floor of the building and have some problems with the connection. I keeps dropping off. The connection status is connected and the speed is high but can't even open a browser straight. I brought this thing anywhere I go. Davao, Cebu and here in Iloilo but same problem. What are you using by the way? Hope to hear from you some tips, advises and reviews...Thanks. Happy Mylotting..

hi,
i think the best and fastest is smart, i still dont know because i use sun broadband postpaid, the first time i use this is very slow,as you can see to my previous discussion, but when i change the setting as my boyfriend told me,and it become faster than ever now.and its nice too when i surf youtube site.but this broadband still depending on signal in your place, since i am here in city i dont encounter much problem now.

I think all of them are the same. It is only fast if you are within the vicinity of the network's cell site. If you are using your USB plug in a place that is beyond the reach of the signal of your network, rest assured that it will load so slow. Or sometimes if there are many users that are currently using the net, you will have a slow connection.

Hi,
YEs, you are right. I am not sure if it's the plug in thing or my computer. I am currently staying now at the 5th floor of the building, I was assuming that my connection will be better. But it the same keep on dropping. In some instance, the connection is good at a specific period of time, like 1 am down. THank you for sharing and God bless.

Hi,
Yes,I called smart company few weeks ago. They have what they called wimax but currently unavailable here in Iloilo City. I usually stay at home and I don't want to go outside or hotspots to connect. I want to get the fixed connection but it's 24 months lock-in period. Soo, maybe I will need to be patient with this thing I have now. Thank you and God bless for sharing...

Before I finally decided to get this service, I asked a few sellers in our place which is which. And hopefully, I wasn't wrong to finally get this Smartbro. My experience is just like yours, connection goes down in some areas and sometimes with certain times, connection really is so bad. But the best thing I like about this kind of service, may it be Globe, Smart or Sun, is the portability that we can bring them and make use of it anytime and anywhere, unlike the fixed or cabled broadband.

Yes, I agree with you. That's the advantage of USB plug-it, we can bring it anywhere here in the Philippines. I guess, the smart connection is slower here that's why I am experiencing this.Thank you for sharing. Happy MyLotting!

I use Smartbro and but the Share-It version since I have a post paid plan. I'm in Pasig so the connection is ok. I've tried the Plug-It of both Globe and Sun as well. Globe works fine where I'm located but not for Sun. But some of my friends use Sun and it works well for them. It really depends where you're located. Best way to know if it will work properly for you is to check if 3G is available in your area. If you're cellphone is showing a 3G network for Smart, then, your Smartbro should work just fine in that area.

I think this really depends on the best signal you could get. Well, just like with our cellphones, there are places where the signal isn't that strong. Right now, I don't use any of them but my friend does and according to her, Smart Bro used to be good but then the connections changed and so she bought the Globe plug. She liked it though but she switches from time to time depending on her location.
