Hi all!
Do you somehow believe that whatever the world has, its energy, its resources.. we all have the power to get it and use it for our advantage?
I watched in the national geographic how some group of people who believe in the power of the "Chi" or the universe energy and they are able to NOT feel any pain, even if their skulls are stabbed by a knife to the bone... or that their tongues are sliced by blade.. or they are not burned even if they put burning rod in their mouths...
it is fascinating to see, but somehow i feel i am skeptic about this... though im chinese and i do believe in the chi as they say... i believe thaat we ought to be in touch wth nature, with ourselves, knowing oneself is really part of our lives... right?
but really... not feeling pain.. and its got something to do with this... that the spiritual energy of the universe that protects them from such harm... do you believe that they really feel no pain?? Or they have indeed super human power? Or is this only in one's mind? that one can transcend pain and overcome physical limitation because we believe in them? that is like the human mind's power right??
what's your thought on this?

Yes, I believe in what is called the "Natural Energy of the Universe" or "Qi". Harnessing its power is also known as 'Knowing God' or (in Christian terms) 'living according to God's Will'.
It is the process of accepting that the power of Creation is living and working within us and of understanding and being guided by that power. It isn't super-human. It is available to each and every one of us and, whatever name you choose to call it, it is the realisation of the true humanity - and 'Godliness' - within us.

I saw it many times in films. Like someone can use Chi to manage or control something, always a hero involved. I don't know whether I should believe it or not. Because it's not a common power that own by everyone. Just like some mind power, someone do have it but not common.

The concept of chi is used in almost all parts of the world, called different things obviously. The best scientific concept I've come across is to do with 'the Third Eye'. You may have heard of it before, it basically links every single human, animal, living breathing being into one. Our subconsciousness is how we are able to communicate through the 'Third Eye', which is why when we dream we sometimes dream of things we've never seen, heard of or even known to be real. It's extremely difficult to have the subconscious mind operating at the same time as the conscious side so years of practice are necessary to achieve this.
I have heard of people finding this power and utilizing it. I even saw a video of a Karate expert in America that could knock out opponents with out touching them, simply sending a ball of energy 'Chi' directly at them.
As for breaking the pain barrier, remember Rage Against The Machine's Album cover? The Tibetan Monk burning himself alive in the middle of a busy intersection as a protest? Yeah, I think he might have mastered the 'Chi'. haha. That was a real occurrence by the way!

"Chi" and "Third Eye" has no relation....
it is like talking in Chinese mandarin while you reply it with German language; both of you can't understand....
you said:
" I even saw a video of a Karate expert in America that could knock out opponents with out touching them, simply sending a ball of energy 'Chi' directly at them."
it is very impossible,
why?
because KARATE is a Hard Form of Martial Arts and it's impossible to destroy something without even touching it....
only KUNG FU can do that and not KARATE....
Karate they emphasize on Shen (Spirit)hard external power
while...
Kung Fu they emphasize on Chi (Internal Life Force)

Hey chiyosan,
Yes, it is proven by quantum physics that this power exists. And you and I can learn to use it. It is the capability to control your thoughts and use your subconsciousness ( meaning a low frequency like alpha or lower) to access this power.
Then everything you can think of is possible. Starting with healing to materializing the things you would like on your doorstep. There is just one rule to this: What you want has to be for the greatest good of all involved.-

I don't know , but I am sure that invisible forces are at work , with so much unexplained things in the world , but it still has to be felt , or else it doesn't exist .. I would like to see this energy if possible in physical form , one day when I realize this , I'll be set free..

in a CHRISTIAN point of view it is called: Spirit, Soul, or sometimes Ghosts
in a SCIENCE point of view it is called: Electricity, Energy, Power, Force
in a CHINESE KUNG FU point of view it is called: Chi, Ki, or Qi

Let us ask what do we mean by energy.
Like any word it has certain criteria by which we can judge if the term applies.
One of the criteria for energy is that it can be measured and detected.
Therefore if Chi is an energy it can be measured and detected.
Unless we can detect and measure Chi we must conclude it is not an energy

Yes, I believe this is entirely possible as well but why they did things like that, I couldn't say! Did it still damage them but they just didn't feel it? Or you mean they weren't even harmed? Using our God-given abilities for nonsense seems so wasteful but at least it lets people know we can be so much more than what we think. Doing that sort of thing certainly catches the attention!

Yup. I believe in "Chi". It's the energy that surrounds everything. If someone is able to control it, then superpowers can be manifested. However, some people just don't really understand the appropriate use for this kind of energy. Some use it for personal gain. But It's always best if whatever things we've accomplished shall be put into good use, into productive use. Also, the mind also plays a part. With a mind that's able to concentrate, then the power within can intensify. I don't even believe in physical limitation because a person truly gifted can do wondrous things and can do anything he wants. That is, if he has clear and orderly mind, loving and caring heart and pure soul.. So the Spirit inside him can easily direct him into goodness.

Hell chiyosan,
I completly believe that "Chi" is real and totally possible to all people of the world. There are always things happening everyday that people do not notice because they are too busy with "life". If everyone would take the time to slow down they would realize that there are so many forces all around us that we can utilize into our every-day lives. Everything in the universe is here to work together and that most certanially includes the energy that contributes to the operation of all beings. People have used this philosoply for many many years but it has seemed to dwindle away because people have stopped believing that things like "chi" are possible. If something is not normal then it is seen as unbelievable, that is the problem with the world these days.
